He seemed to be doing some stretches before being subbed. Hope it was a bit of cramp and nothing else.
| Liam Walsh on 18:34 - Apr 7 with 1489 views | DJack | His cameo roles at the very start of his time here showed that there was a player there and I'm really glad that he's getting a chance to shine. Long may he stay fit and injury free! | |

Yeah I saw that, wouldn't be surprised if he misses the Wigan game

He has a fantastic ability to create space for himself at the top half of the pitch.

Personally I don't think Whittaker will be with us after the next window, Cooper and Walsh would be a good option.

So does that mean we will lose both Piroe and Whittaker in the next window?

Can see us losing Ntcham as well, Manning is as good as gone, Cundle will go back, those 4/5 will have to be replaced, plus we'll need to add what we desperately need and been needing for a long while a couple of players who can play and have pace. i'm stating the obvious there.

I can't see Piroe going, much as we would like to sell we need a buyer and the player must want to leave. I think he will sit out his contract like Manning and Latibeaudiere.

I hope he does stay, he'll be a tough act to replace with his goals and workrate.

The club will notify other clubs Piroe is up for sale if he does not sign. Martin does not rate Whittaker it seems.

Don't understand why Martin wouldn't see Whittaker as a viable option up front Cullen was brought in from the cold and given time is assisting in the goal scoring department and with Whittakers performance against lower league opposition surely it is just a matter of playing time to get up and running at the higher level. It is funny how some players start to show their better qualities it breeds confidence in others to step up performance wise. Liam Walsh inclusion has definitely raised the quality of the football being played although other factors like a settled team, playing a better back line and having a bit more height in the team to defend better and add a threat from corners might have helped. Haven't seen the highlights but thought we were unlucky not to get one or not two goals from set pieces yesterday.

Having the height to defend corners has changed our game plan dramatically. Yesterday when defending a corner we had Nitcham and Walsh high up the pitch and wide, forcing Coventry to pull three defenders back to cover. This resulted in it being easier to defend the set plays.

Didn't understand Cundles positioning at opposition corners on the 18 yard line not close enough to player to stop the short ball resulting in numerous 2 against one at the edge of our box. Seems to be part of Martin's defensive set up to leave the wingers with too much space so they have time to decide what to do instead of getting closer to stop the option for the pass to them in the first place, nice to see Darling stepping out early enough to make the pass impossible.
