I'd go biblical here, inflict the same pain on them they inflicted on that poor, defenceless baby.
This is a thing that really stirs me, cruelty to children and animals. I'd put some people in prison for life, literally. They would never come out, build special prisons where life was very ordered and not easy, 10 hours labour every day, 3 meals, a comfy bed but that's it. No tv or internet, no news from outside apart from 1 visitor per month.
It'll never happen, the world is going the other way, people are serving less time. It's less about punishment now and more about rehab but some people can't be rehabilitated. | | | |

I've mellowed on the subject of capital punishment as I've got older. Letting them live to a ripe old age in the kind of environment that Cat describes would be far crueller than a six foot drop so I'd be all for that.
The question that Society needs to ask itself is why creatures such as this were allowed to procreate in the first place. |  |

I spent years managing investigations involving the worst people raping babies and children, molesting, assaulting and killing their children and family’s children. I never thought it really bothered me until I stopped.

I have similar experience .it’s why I would show no mercy to child killers . It’s also the reason for my open contempt at barristers who stand up and defend these monsters .
They deserve a defence? True, but who would want to.
That people are more dismissive over CP than the trauma and death of children worries me to this day

However ,far more are found not guilty only to kill again that innocent people .
CP was abolished with the proviso by the Zlabour govt that life sentence would mean just that .
MPs voted to abolish because of that so they were conned .
