In the authors own words...Welsh Labour loves to point out that it is the most successful democratic party of the past century, always being the biggest party in Wales. But this continuous autopiloting into brushing away any legitimate criticism with indignation and patronising words is exactly the same entitlement and “we have a right to rule” mentality that is levelled against the Tories in England.
The thing about Drakeford is that he knows full well he and his cronies like Gething and Waters can do whatever the hell they want with no repercussions.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Good article. I believe many of those points have been discussed on here. I would add the disaster of the non building of the M4 relief road at Newport to. I also find him patronising.

It's modern politics, promote nationalism and division whilst making poor public policy decisions. We are heading the same way as Scotland.

There's no one that I've ever had a conversation with regards Drakeford as a political non entity , but when he goes the conveyor belt of doom will just churn out yet another 3rd rate politician to continue the ideology which has left Wales stagnating .

If they thought for a second that they could potentially lose an election over it there's not a chance on Earth that they'd be pushing forward with this 20mph nonsense, nor would they have killed the M4 relief road.

I've said before if the money for the M4 relief road had been coming from a Labour UK government, they'd have bitten their hand off.

The money does not come from a Labour Government, a Conservative Government or even the EU. It comes from UK taxpayers and particularly motorists who pay tens on billions a year in fuel Duty, vehicle excess duty plus VAT on new cars, servicing, repairs etc. Motorist make up 80% of UK voters but are ignored while the tiny green anti motorist minority seem to set the agenda.

Yes a significant portion of everyone’s hard earned income goes towards income tax, road tax, VAT, NI, BBC license fee etc. plus a load of stealth taxes congestion charges or tolls. We generally pay this willingly as the idea is that money goes towards improving infrastructure and services that benefit us all.
But this isn’t happening. Need an ambulance? You’ll get one eventually but it will probably take 15 hours by which time you’ll probably be dead. Someone breaking into your house? No officers available right now but one will be along later in the week to tell you there’s nothing that can be done. Nothing we need is being built because it’s bad for the climate.
So we have the right to question where the hell is all our money going? You then hear of their intentions to chuck significant suns of free money at illegal immigrants who have spent all theirs on the services of criminal people traffickers and wonder who the hell are these politicians actually working for? What are their true intentions?
The clown would never ever be a success in the private-sector world of: profit and loss, strict deadlines, penalty clauses, annual appraisals by share holders and real accountability that ends up in a sacking for incompetence.
The guy is a walking 'profit warning' and catastrophic share price plunge.
His comfort zone is one where the 'inferior' thrive, the less than ordinary survive, and where cronyism and patronisation open's the door onto the next one day a month 'jobs for the boys' quango/Welsh government sponsored body appointment. "Advisory" role obviously lol!
Oh and I guess LSE and NYSE listed companies etc are in absolutely no way never in a million years going to headhunt the services of our very own 'Red Adair' of incompetence and kamikaze backward thinking. Coracles are the future!
So I guess the likes of HSBC or Shell or BAE Systems etc ( (complicated maths, AGM's, accounts, competence and accountability hey!) will NOT be seeking Drakefords 'expertise' with a seven figure deal.
More likely post politics retirement? Yet more zero end product input e.g. 'Arts Council For Wales' or maybe even 'Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales' . The deadlines can last an eternity in those type of places apparently.
Argus!

EVEN MORE BORING!
I used to like Ade Edmondson in the Young Ones to. Did you ever see his band ' Bad Shepherds' . Used to play folk versions of New Wave and Punk songs. Ade played the Mandolin.

I think it’s actually to Drakeford’s credit that big companies like shell aren’t interested in throwing seven figures at him. It means he isn’t interested in being bought.
Obviously his competency, ideology and ability are still gutter tier but if he has one saving grace it’s that he does appear to be one of the least likely out there to be caught with his pants down trying to feather his own nest.
More bad new for Wales today. Unemployment in Wales up to 4.9% which is 0.9% higher than the UK average.
Economically active in Wales 71.8% which is 4.2 % lower thsn the UK average
Economically inactive people on Wales 24.4% which is 3.8% higher than the UK average.
Drakeford and Welsh Labour's anti business and anti tourism policies are costing jobs for Wales. Their lack of investment in infrastructure and roads in Wales is driving business and prosperity out of Wales.

We need a modern Wales and a leadership with vision to move forward, not the current dinosaurs whose objectives are incompatible to the majority of the Welsh population.

I heard Lee Waters on the radio yesterday spouting more about climate change and how we had to do more again.
The only effect this green agenda in Wales is having is to drive the country further into poverty. It will have a "net zero" effect on pollution or habitat destruction. It will drive prices up, drive business away, cost jobs and so be a complete disaster for the economy.

Well the world will embrace net zero green technologies to avoid the weather extremes and save the planet.
The path you are suggesting is …. Do nothing, bury our heads in the sand and shout at the clouds that all the science is quite wrong. London will always look after us anyway so we dont care.
Or …..
Invest in the new age of green tech, skill ourselves up as a modern nation and generate our own renewable energy future whilst selling what we have learned to other nations. A small nation with tidal and wind in abundance is very well placed.
Have a think …. Its a tough one to call ….
