The good news is new signing, Gustavo Nunes has travelled, the bad is that Zeidane Inoussa (back) is out and could be for a while. 1 Cabango and his astonishing handball loses the game for Swansea City 24th Jan 2026 19:20Swansea City yet again lost an away game by the odd goal in a performance that went from the bizarre to incomparable in the second half. The issue is of course despite so many opportunities for the Swans they didn’t put them away followed by incredibly poor decision making. Then of course what more can head coach Vitor Matos do when he sets his side up to win games and his team doesn’t turn up in front of goal ? 1

| Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 18:58 - Jan 22 with 4550 views | Whiterockin | From the official site. Vitor Matos has confirmed Zeidane Inoussa will miss Saturday's trip to Hull, whilst Ethan Galbraith will be assessed ahead of the clash. The head coach revealed Inoussa has suffered a suspected stress fracture in his back, and is seeing a specialist, whilst Galbraith, who was forced off in Tuesday's 3-1 win against Blackburn, is also being treated by the medical team. Chelsea loanee Ishe Samuels-Smith is back on the grass after being sidelined following a calf injury. "Galbraith had a knock in the Birmingham game, then a knock in the same place against Blackburn. We have one more day to see how it develops," said Matos. "Zeidane is consulting a specialist regarding a stress response on his back. After that, we'll have a more clear answer, but he will miss this game and the one after that. "Ishe is starting to work back on the pitch, one more week and he'll be back." | | | |

Liked what Matos was saying about youth development in the pressconference.

Hull have won 4 of their last 6 including beating playoff rivals Preston 3-0 away in their last game...I know our form has been on the rise but I am not expecting anything from this and I will just be happy if we give them a tough game (in the same way I was happy we gave Coventry a tough game but ultimately lost to a superior team).

I look at it as a free hit, if we get anything its a bonus. Particularly with ex players there and we all know how that normally goes.
| Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 20:13 - Jan 23 with 3883 views | swancity | Free hit ? It’s Hull not Liverpool or Arsenal Every Championship match is an opportunity to pick up points. We have an excellent 19 points from 10 games. They are a bit better than that but they have scored 19 and conceded 19 at home. With four home losses already. Granted our away form isn’t good ( so far )but we go there with confidence. I’ve not been to Hull since 2003 but it’s not an intimidating venue. It’s a game we can win. No doubt. | |

We have only one away win out of six under Matos and that was against Oxford. They are 4th in the table and we are 16th and we are away. That's a free hit for me. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Depends how you define “ free hit “ It’s a winnable game for sure. As every game in this league is. Regardless of the opponent.

We didn't deserve to lose against Stoke and Coventry, should have done better against WBA and would have been lucky to get a point against Millwall. What i am saying is we competed in every away game we have played since matos took over. The championship is a beast where anyone can beat anyone, you never know we might click tomorrow.

I certainly hope so but I just feel anything we get is a bonus, I'm more confident we will get something against Watford.

We held on some how against wba in the league at home. We are 16 because when we dip in games it huge drop off. Still I up in Hull always believing.

We do drop off dramatically when our starting eleven start to tire. But we’re sixteenth because we were so poor under Sheehan. We’re fourth in the form table over the last ten games We’re eighth over the last six (one point off being fifth) We’re doing well under Matos, though I accept our away form isn’t where it needs to be

I make it only two of the summer signings in that starting 11.

It has to be a fact when you concider the players we lost last season, but if this seasons squad is stronger than last is questionable, the difference for me is the form of Vipotnik without it we would be bottom three.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I was surprised at Widell on the bench but he did work hard in the last two games. He did have his his hands full with one of Blackburn best players Baradji and did well against him. Cullen picked to offer a goal scoring threat? Would prefer Widell to give us more in the midfield, defensively and in getting us forward quicker, maybe saving him to keep an attacking threat when substitutions made.

The last sentence exactly for me. Stay in the game with half an hour to go and take it from there, Widell to run at them.
