So we now are looking to pay illegals to offski 22:49 - Mar 5 with 939 viewsonehunglow

Anyone hazard a guess as to why we are doing this
One party advocating obstructing kids how to take drugs
And the only option being disaffected posh boys who still think we believe we should never have lost India
Death will come when it comes

The critical thinking of many, will I guess go into overdrive on this one......

£40,000 has been a figure reported. What better way to have a lovely cash-grab? Nothing beats getting on a small boat to the U.K with the entire family to stay for a few months with free hotel accommodation, so to await the lawyers dishing out the much anticipated £40,000 windfall?

What a deterrent hey? And then there will be those whom will rather love their (want to shut hotels apparently) new 'free-house' and freebies that costs more than £40,000 in rent over a few years anyhow, and thus decide to stay forever. I am sure their immigration lawyer(s) will offer sound advice!

And why not tell millions of others from overseas about this magnificent arrangement paid for by the British taxpayer, I'm sure word will get about. Gift horses galore in the U,K mun!

Don't use the "D" word that Labour backbenchers and their fellow travellers hate so much! It triggers an automatic response whereby they band around the "R" word.

It's rather 'Yes Minister' farcical, because I guess £40,000 over here would be a lottery jackpot sized sum in the homeland they left behind. What a 'deterrent' hey?

Correct me if I wrong, I can make mistakes, I have not balanced chemical equations, done SohCahToa, six figure grid references and Godfrey and Siddons four figure look-up's for a while now.

£40,000 divided by a £10 weekly amount, requires 4000 weeks of Labour to get that £40,000 sum total.

4,000 weeks divided by 52 weeks a year, comes to 76 years wages. Talk about the tax payer funding an uncontrollable stampede?

And Labour lifting the 2 child benefit cap is madness if you want a large family by all means pay for it yourself

Labour are creating families who will never work a day in there lives we can't even as a Country afford to defend ourselves

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Could you imagine them in coalition with the Green Party, whom will add an even greater incentive for a lifetime on incapacity benefit, income support and free housing etc.

Supply em all with state provided heroin and crack, whilst throwing in additional skunk-weed, tranquilizers, Tramadol and speed, that's often the cocktails found in blood toxicology reports. And then there's what comes with dangerous driving arrests also.

These politicians make critical thinking go into hyper-mode.

Like to further add that some who cannot afford to pay up a smuggler fees upfront, then have to become OCG operatives as payback. Hells bells the U.K is being ruined on every front.

It’s another kick in the teeth for those with the temerity to actually go out and work for a living to see a big chunk of their pay cheque go to the taxman every month for it to be handed to people who have no right to be here and shouldn’t have come here in the first place.

I have never seen such a spineless and incompetent government in my four decades on this planet. Lammy was on the news this morning claiming Cyprus is a member of NATO. They are not. He was foreign secretary a few months ago FFS.

How much more of this do we have to endure?

Is Milletts still trading top end of High Street or even Army and Navy Stores back in the day .

Maybe I could have bought a rubber boat then and paddled back and fore across The Channel with any number of false IDs and scams and pocketed £40k per voyage .

Some reports suggest this latest brainwave nonsense idea by a unable to control mass illegals Government , like the last lot as well will lead to the gangs in Calais fixing up new schemes to fleece the taxpayer in The UK again .

Illegal Gangs outwitting Border Controls and Home Secretary pathetic guidance .

Paying people to leave who shouldn't be here in the first place.

Apparently because it's cheaper than going through the legal process. Maybe looking at the lawyers who are milking the system just as much as the illegals.

No wonder they're laughing at us.

It's the rough equivalent of us sneaking into Sudan, and instead of getting punished they give us £2m to leave. ok then

These people are failed asylum seekers. When asylum claims are processed, if the claim is successful they are allowed to stay and if the claim fails they have to leave. And part of the decision that their claim might fail would be the question of whether the country they came from and would have to go back to is safe. So it must be a safe country.

So if that is the case why are they not just put on a plane and sent back ?

Is it a returns agreement problem ?

They are hiding as they cannot debate
They have a mantra and stick to it , normally involves the rich vis a vis the working people
The so called working people are being lied to and shat on
Paying to keep then repatriating illegal criminals whom we don’t have the balls to deal with
Politicians , like Corbyn, encouraging them and all for personal satisfaction
Then we have Welsh senate wanting wales to be a sanctuary for whoever
No migrants, not welcome
Get the feck out of our land

There's some thickies in this government, but he's the biggest thicky of them all, I would add Millipede, but he can't be that thick because he's played a blinder in getting the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero job.

The two cap lifting is not madness but to have no upper limit is leaving the taxpayer exposed. The Government is saying we will cover expenses for as many kids ars you like. That is just dim.

Do you have data.? It is a reason not to get on a boat. People need guarantees to take dangerous trips. If there is a 25% chance of return than the risk is too great for some. It has to be a significant number. It makes no difference to France.

The whole system is shot to bits. Any sick person anywhere in the world can come to UK get on a boat and receive the services provided by taxpayers like me and money we borrow from pension d funds. I would not necessarily believe it from the Telegraph but this is the Guardian.

This comes from the Independent today:

"Sir Keir Starmer's flagship "one in, one out" scheme is returning only 12 migrants a week to France, falling short of the initial promise of 50 per week.

Since its launch last August, 377 people have been returned to France under the pilot, while 380 migrants have been allowed to apply for asylum in the UK from France.

The scheme faces legal challenges from migrants, with 40 per cent of those detained making trafficking claims, arguing that French authorities do not adequately support victims.

A joint High Court claim by over a dozen migrants, some already deported, challenges the scheme's lawfulness and the Home Office's policy on modern slavery claims.

A High Court judge recently halted the removal of an Eritrean trafficking victim to France due to concerns about access to accommodation and healthcare support there."

More here on the Eritrean who an immigration court ruled would not get proper mental health support if returned to France.

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news

This is despite the fact that OECD ranked the French healthcare system as among the best in the world in 2025.

https://www.connexionfrance.co

I can't help comparing this immigration case judgement to a series of famous judicial cases where British patents who had been denied NHS treatments sought judicial review and the courts ruled that it was not for them to overturn decisions made by NHS authorities.

https://ndl.ethernet.edu.et/bi

Those interested should read p 162 onwards. The big picture is that "when presented with questions of the allocation of scarce healthcare resources, the traditional attitude of the English courts was largely to eschew any sort of involvement, significantly constraining their capability to adopt either of these approaches and effectively rendering rationing decisions immune from judicial scrutiny."

It looks to m as though the immigration courts risk creating a kind of two-tier entitlement, whereby British people needing NHS treatment and going to court come off worse than illegal immigrants.
