Yes and what the stupid politicians cannot understand is they are driving the rise of Farage. He's not popular because he's so brilliant and has the answers. He's popular because Labour, Tory and Libdem are craven, self serving, greedy, populist cowards. They'd rather be called anti British than racists, they talk about human rights when women and children are being abused and we cannot deport the offenders to their native country. They have cut the NHS, police, schools and the armed forces so they are more or less inneffective and waste billions on stupid un-needed schemes like HS2. All the while they live the high life aided by the rich friends who look after them while they continue to do things that financially rape the majority of the population who work/worked.
I've heard the moral arguments about the death penalty and I can agree with some of them but even so, how many miscarriages of justice are there today? The most recent are from convictions a long while back that new technology has righted in which case, when the tech can prove things beyond a doubt I believe certain crimes deserve a life ending sentence. I have recently completed Jury service on a fairly serious case and once again witnessed that sophistry. Both the defence and the prosecution but far more on the defence on this case. I was wondering how the judge would decide on the sentencing base on the above after the perp was found guilty on one of the counts and no doubt the defence barrister earned his money.
On a side note my daughter is still considering the bar as she was superb in her mooting. |  |

My main issue with the death penalty is the knock on effect.
If, say, the state only execute criminals where there is a 100% probability of them doing it, what happens when they’re only 99% sure?
