| USA UK Relations 22:33 - Oct 4 with 1568 views | Luther27 | After the USA withdraws its bombers from Fairford base on the grounds of security. Why would they do that do you think? Perhaps releasing antagonists and Pro Palestine sympathisers on bail may have something to do with it along with the direction this country is heading.

| USA UK Relations on 22:45 - Oct 4 with 1092 views | ReslovenSwan1 | I was shocked at the previous event At RAF Brize Norton. The UK answer to crimes is not prevention but tough sentencing and action after the event. This is wholly inadequate when dealing with ÂŁ50m Jets and fuels store in a time of million to set action against Russia. It smacked of complacency. No news of severe warnings to the camp chiefs to tighten thing up and assurances of action. I have no idea what was going on a Fairford. It has the feel of a false flag scam gone wrong. | USA UK Relations on 12:35 - Oct 5 with 660 views | trampie | The worry is we are too reliant on the Yanks for our nuclear deterant, hardware, software, maintenance, could they even have a kill switch on our nukes that we don't know about ?, we need our own bona fide totally independent capability and sorry to say we need our nukes pointing at major American cities as they can't be trusted by us (and shouldn't be trusted by us). I remember in the cold War and apparently it came from a top Yank general that the Warsaw pact would reach the channel ports in days if they invaded from East Germany etc and at that point the Yanks would nuclear bomb Britain to stop the Russians using Britain as an airbase/lanchpad for missiles to attack America, at the time their missiles could not reach mainland America (or all parts) from the Eastern block but could from Britain (something like that anyway). Are the Yanks really friends of ours, they were a combined half a decade late entering both World wars, I'm all for our weapons pointing at the United States (particularly at this point in time they are even making veiled threats towards Canada as well as other so called allies) as well as other countries that might be a problem for us. | |

Wow!! I can only shake my head at your deluded post! You should thank your lucky STARS (and STRIPES) that you weren't required to speak German, Russian, Farsi, or Mandarin. But then again, maybe you wouldn't mind the latter two or three at all! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

If they feel they cannot protect an asset buried deep in the rural English countryside to the point where they have to evacuate all hardware then there must be a serious threat in the background.

We fought without you Yanks for years, the Krauts could not get across the channel our Navy was still relatively strong at the time and RAF stopped them getting air power, then the Russians who was facing the majority of the German forces turned the tide sending the Germans back to their homeland. If anything we saved you from occupation as there is a strong school of thought that we knew Pearl Harbour was happening as we ruled something like a quarter of the World's land surface and had spies, eyes and ears everywhere and figured it would bring you into the war as you weren't up for it, of course the real conspiracy was that Churchill told your President who was trying to persuade you lot to enter the war for your own good kept quiet but made sure half the 'Pacific Fleet' was at sea ready to fight another day. You have now been taken over by a foreign power anyway in the shape of Isreal you do what they tell you to do, I expect you to be speaking Hebrew in a short space of time. [Post edited 5 Oct 15:29]

and for those years without the yanks we were losing and without Rosevelt being an anglophile we wouldn't have has lend lease to allow us to keep on fighting or the convoys which kept us alive , Hitler didn't attempt to cross the channel because the only battle we won up unti 1941 was the one fought by air power and without aircover he knew he couldn't attempt a crossing . Without America do you honestly belive we'd have beaten Germany ? I wonder uniform you'd have put on .

If the Yanks had continued to stay out of ww2 we wouldn't have lost to the Germans as they would not have been able to invade us, the Germans would have ruled Western Europe but not Blighty, so we would never have ended up speaking German.

It went the other way too. Without the British and her empires support the US would have struggled against Japan. The campaigns in Burma and places like that tied up hundreds of thousands of Japanese soldiers. Also without the British the Americans wouldn’t have had vital technology like radar, and the science that led to the Manhattan Project basically started in Birmingham University (ironically by a German and an Austrian). Without this vital support the war would have gone on for several more years and many more millions would have died.

At the start of ww2 the Yanks had something like only the 20th largest army in the World, badly trained, badly equipped we had to help them as they had little technology, we had developed the jet engine, we had radar, the Yanks could not fly at night, so the RAF had to do it and blow Germany to bits the Yanks didn't have the capability and then we fought the Japs in Burma that took the pressure of the Yanks out in the Far East, we did as much for them as they did for us even more possibly but we don't get the recognition, I blame Hollywood films for that.

According to all knowing AI , Britain would likely not have been conquered during ww2 even if the USA had stayed out of the war. Navy would have sunk German transport ships, Airforce would have and did match their Airforce and the Army would have stopped them getting off the beaches if they had even got that far, they knew the odds were not in their favour although they clearly thought about it, once they failed to win the battle of Britain in the air they gave up on the idea of attempting a land invasion of Blighty.
