They’re a major part of the problem , can anyone honestly say that followers of that religion are a force for good , just look at any country where it’s become the main religion and then tell me it’s a progressive.

I lived in a Muslim country for seven years . Turkiye. I would happily live that again. Apart from Ramadan I did not notice any thing different . I was respected as a non Muslim . More relevant was Turkish nationalism which meant I had to be carefuvwgaf I said with regards to Kurdish self determination. Turks have two main groups Sunni and Alevi not many Shia. With me they claim no difference. We need to keep an eye of militants and agitators who can create fake narratives and violence. Ai could be used for this. There is no where in UK I would be afraid to walk. Even by the end of the century UK will still be less than 30% Muslim. Brexit fast tracked this percentage UK needs immigration for workers .We chose Asian over Europe.

Re that last sentence, I'd say that the claim that freedom of movement meant that culturally-compatible Europeans came to the UK rather than persons from Asia is highly questionable. 1. Even when immigration from the EU into the UK was at its height, almost the same number of arrivals came from outside the EU (remember students as a big part of this). 2. Much of the recent surge in non-EU immigrant numbers can be explained by the 3 special schemes for Ukraine, Hong Kong and Afghanistan, which had nothing to do with Brexiit. https://migrationobservatory.o 3. In 2025 over 10% of those resident in the EU were born outside its territories - and I'd say these are the very people who are most likely to come our way. For Muslims in particular, the UK is perceieved as more permissive than most EU countries. https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/

The only saving grace that I hold onto is that they are resilient and don't know any different. We do know the difference and should be providing better for them, in my opinion its all down to pure greed. [Post edited 27 Oct 11:36]
