£20m is way too much and dont think anyone will pay that. £14m would be the max I would be happy with. They are trying to get funds to get in a striker so dont think their resolve will be that great to be fair. | |

I'm sure I read somewhere that he was by far West Brom's most creative player but doesn't get along with Pulis.
I'm happy with the signing, but only for the right price, £25mill is crazy.

I agree. I hope this is a smokescreen and we sign a real talent from either country for that kind of money. I especially don't see a problem with players adapting from the Bundesliga for example. The gap in standards is negligible. Use your contacts and suggest a few names PC !

At £20M+ this is a pricey deal for a 28 year old who has still to evidence he can fully settle somewhere & be a consistent first team regular but there, in my eyes, is some good news if we splash half our Siggy money on him :-
1. He has decent Premier league experience - something PC wanted.
2. In 119 prem appearances he's scored 20 goals are created a further 15 - not Siggy level but significantly better than anything we have.
3. He can play wide, off the striker or at the top of a diamond - good fit with what we need.
4. He's two-footed, has pace & can head the ball - again positives.
For me if we were to sign him plus Bony for around the £35/36M that should leave a few £££s for a final signing - if we keep Llorente I'd prefer RB cover/challenge to Nauts. | | | |
