There will be the odd person who manages to resist temptation and only ever use the free bets. The vast majority will be sucked in by them, maybe win a bit. When it’s all gone, they’ll play with their own money, even though they wouldn’t have even logged on without the free bet dangled in front of them.

The people disciplined enough to stop the minute the free bets run out call it beating the bookies. The bookies just see it as a small operational loss they are happy to absorb in order to attract new punters.

After my million step challenge mate my one foot was in agony for about three months but all good now I treat them to an ice water bucket most days that seems to do the trick

By the way Jim, I’m not really up to speed with online gambling, only have the odd flutter on football or the grand national in the bookies, I’m assuming ‘casino’ is just an online version of the machines they have in store, where the bookie knows what you have bet and has complete control of the outcome?
