The more I see it the more amazed I am by the quality of the goal.

If that had been one of the darlings of the Premier League it would have been goal of the season without doubt.

If Messi had done that it would have been one of his greatest goals.

It had genuine class stamped all over it. Delighted for him, great to see him answering the clubs call when needed most. His back heel in the box to set up the chance for Ayew was superb too. I just hope he’s fit for the playoffs

Was a stunning finish. Long ball from Grimes I think it was didn’t touch the ground until it crossed the goal line, that first touch especially was outstanding wasn’t it. And then to volley it over a keeper who was about to smash him was sublime.

I still can’t believe what happened😀

I've been saying exactly that all day.

Routs has been a superb player for us. It's true he's past his best but still a great player whose only problem is age catching up with him. He'll be very much missed when he finishes.

It'd be a real shame if he finished when the stadiums are still empty, he deserves a proper send off.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

If Matt's pass had been made by De Bruyne the SS pundits would have been creaming over it for months. Goal of the season at any level.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

Tremendous vision by Grimes. Makes me think he should play further forward.
