The Arabs will be looking for Israel to hand back the land they nicked in 67. Watch that space.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I think the whole point is progress looking forwards, hopefully not blame looking backwards. Long shot I know, but 1967, spoils of war etc... you would hope isnt going to prevent more Arab countries seeing the sense in this potential historic move.

OK I've changed it.

When you think about it, the person who benefited most from Isis was assad,

Isis going into Syria saved assad, plus he used to buy oil from them

Nothing is ever what it seems in the middle east

The IRA never attacked Cheltenham the home of GCHQ.
Why was that ?

Something to do with the festival never being available to the people of Ireland to travel to freely and enjoy a week of fun and vacation.

If you lost your immediate family to the Nazi regime using death camps to kill them, your new state just might be a little defensive at times.
At least this effort is a step in the right direction irrespective of comments designed to undo the good work.

Let’s not talk about the country that brought this initiative together though.

New state? Yes, created by the UK amongst others in 1946 - 48 with death camp survivors, the religious side can be argued by both, the humanist side should start in 2020 and the Western world should be keeping their fingers crossed.

I think you find the majority of the states countries in the middle east are "new" states. They were all formed after the first world war after the break up of the Otterman Turkish empire.
Sadly most went down the path of dictatorships rather then democracy.

And the USA, it was supposed to be shared with the Palestinian Muslims who they shared the land with for years but they slaughtered those as well as british soldiers to claim more land.

It shocked me when I read up about it and they have never stopped nicking more and more land.

I think that's true worldwide, Politics is all about subterfuge. It's why decent people rarely make it to the top of that slippery pole.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Nothing to do with religion - some of the Palestinian Arabs were and still are Jews. I think it was the continual theft of their land that is the issue. Not their religion

Any the arabs living in Israel have the right to vote and practice their religious beliefs. I can't see the majority of arab Muslim states giving those rights to Israelis even if they let them live in their countries.

Mind you they don't even let their citizens vote in most arab states.

I don’t think so. There were Israeli , al Nusra and isis fighters fighting alongside each other opposing Assad. If it hadn’t have been for these elements the civil war would have ended quickly and with far less loss of life and economical damage to Syria.
Assad’s death was very much at the top of Israeli wish list but it never happened to their utter consternation .

Israeli fighters in Syria ? Don't think so

It was russia and Iran that saved assad

The U.S. Bombing raids helped assad a lot, and that only happened because Isis were there

As for al nusra, I doubt there was much cooperation with isis, Isis hated all other jihadist groups
