Leicester scored 5 with only 28% possession!!

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Incredible manager.

Compare his career in management to that of Sir Michael.

Like apples and oranges.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Laudrup's won a trophy in a league with more than one worthwhile team in it.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Aye, he had one good season in his career.

Don't get me wrong, fantastic for us, but hardly a stellar career.

If both were in the running to become our next manager, who would you go for?

Big fan of Swansea and Huw Jenkins. I must admit I was touched that both he and Roberto and Flynn turned up for that AlanTate testimonal. Testement to a fine institution. Particularly Brendan as he was doing a 9 to 5 at the time.

I loved reading today how he wants to help develop Demari Gray's career (somewhere else with a big transfer fee). A terrficc young lad with heaps of potential and really easy to work with. We do nor want to hold him back. Very similar to Swansea and McKay in fact.

Laudrup for me best football l have seen in 40 years watching the Swans

Picked up ( or his agent) loads of quality players on the cheap.

That said Rodgers is a very good manager.

Yes Barrie McKay. He loved Shefki Kuqi and Craig Beattie. They were "terrific footballers" but did not fit in his gamepaln.

Sorry I being a bit obscure.

Cooper on McKay.

"Barrie does not figure in my plans"

Brendan if he was boss

"Barrie is a terrific talent. Techncally very skillfull. Comes in every day and works really hard. A real good guy lovely family. i ve sat down with Barrie and we want to help him develop his career and its going to be difficult here with all the talent we have. Its not easy when you are not playing every week. He does not figure in my plans".

McKay's gone to Fleetwood mind.

I do see your point though, unless they're disruptive I see no value in simply discarding players still on the payroll like Declan John.

Why would St Brendan waste his time worrying about Barrie McKay ?

Never good enough for our club, likewise Asoro.
Crap buys by Potter.

For balance, Celina was a good buy by Potter.

We would have had more benefit from Craig Beattie if he had just stood out on the wing so one of their players had to mark him. Then play 10 vs 10.

Useless.

The point I am making is that Saint Brendan of Killkeny was a people person and all things to all men. Thats why players run through brick wall for him as Neil Taylor once confessed.

Yeah his man management was second to none. Things like letting Leon Britton have a few days off to be in London to be there for his daughters first day of school etc, may seem like little things but the players loved him for it.

The one story I'll always remember about him, and why he will always be a legend in my book, is that there was a lady from Risca who followed the Swans who was suffering from Cancer. I didn't know her personally but had mutual friends, they wrote to Swansea asking if she could have a corporate box to watch one of the games as she was becoming more and more unwell. Att the time of the game she was to ill to go, afterwards Brendan went up to the box to see her only to be told she wasn't there, he turned up at her house in Risca day after to sit and have a chat with her. True gentleman.

In fairness to Rodgers he left the cushy life managing in the pub league up North to challenge himself in the PL again.

Annoying all the Celtic fans mid season made him go up in my estimations.

I agree. Brendan got us playing but Laudrup took it to another level

Each time I go to Bedd - au........................

Rodgers has learned and developed as a manager since his time here, but the football we played (at least to begin with) under Laudrup was a level ahead. Possession with intent.

If Brendan has picked up anything in the meantime it's that. His teams look a lot more aggressive than he was here, when he often favoured a flat midfield three instead of putting a proper AM in there. I maintain that we'd have gone up automatically in 2010/11 if he'd been brave enough to play the Dobster at #10 much earlier in the season.
