Chuck some jacky jumpers into the takeaway queue, pit a Catherine wheel to some old biddys door, chase the local druggies with a sparkler in each hand. Then set fire to the wood.

You should have included Halloween. The shops sell utter tat at exorbitant prices which is thrown away a couple of days latter. Our farmers grow pumpkins which are not even eaten , just carved and chucked in dustbin.

You're right Felix. Pumpkins are pretty much OTT in every way.

Depends how "insults" is interpreted but little on here could be construed a an insult. There is a line between pyse taking and insult ,as is obvious.

My post about 20 quid was a mickey take with Buikthy and not directed at anyone else. Now those days, I do love Christmas but proper Christmas not this over commercialised dross. St Valentines day I hate with a passion. My Dear old Gran, who mostly brought me up, looked after me, spoilt me and never complained when I was greedy, selfish, lazy, a typical young person in other words, she died on Valentines day 1991. What haunts me there is, if I'd been stronger and had the argument with my mother and the doctor she may have lived longer. For years after I was convinced my mother had let her die to get her hands on the money, I still wonder.

Cat. Nobody could possibly say you are in any way even remotely offensive or looking to insult. We have to protect our culture of decent debate on here and ignore posts which eek to point score or divide us.
