| Kristoffer Peterson 07:52 - Apr 5 with 1053 views | 34dfgdf54 | He would have come in handy now if we were looking to change things up, can play wide or down the middle. Him, Vik, Palmer, Ariolla, Garrick all attacking players who Cooper had no idea how to get the best out of and have ended up going. Lovely. | | | | |
| Kristoffer Peterson on 08:04 - Apr 5 with 763 views | Chief | Do we really need another baseless dig at the manager like this? People are looking at Peterson like he was Pele. When he played he didn't look up to much. Cooper said he wanted to use him. Blame Winter for selling him if you're missing him so badly. Gyorkeres was terrible, he is at Coventry too. Glad hes gone. Palmer was a good option of bench although seemed to be out of puff often after not playing much earlier in season. Recalled due to management change - out of our hands. We probably wouldn't have Hourihane if he'd stayed. Out of Cooper's hands. Arriola showed nothing in earlier glimpses when he wasn't ready / fit after a long lay off and is now injured so gone back. Out of Cooper's hands. Garrick is the only one you may have a point with (although he's been brought to the first team environment by Cooper who apparently has no idea how to get the best out of him). Could do with his pace, although he did really need regular starts and the loan should do him wonders. Criticism of Cooper is fair enough, but let's keep it justified and on point is it? Not random swipes like this with little basis when you look at the facts. | |

It’s not random swipes at all, it’s showing the excuses he’s using of “no attacking players” is a complete and utter joke.

We'll never know whether Cooper was going to use Peterson because he was sold without Cooper's consultation after just over a year at the club (part of which was spent on loan). At the time there was nothing to suggest Peterson warranted a place in the team anyway. Love how people get so worked up about players who've shown no signs of actually contributing. Just another stick to beat Cooper with.

I'm not excusing his words, he has attacking players at his disposal now. The ones you listed apart from Garrick simply shouldn't be part of the conversation due to the reasons listed above.

| Kristoffer Peterson on 08:52 - Apr 5 with 718 views | jack247 | Peterson was great playing it out from the back, his problem was he wasn’t a very good goalkeeper. There’s an element of truth in both sides of this. Gyokores just wasn’t that good Palmer I liked, great on the ball, but seemed to gas very easily. Ariolla, we’ll never know, I guess Cooper just didn’t rate him. He’s hardly got a stellar record. Garrick was sent on loan before Cullen and Morris got injured (he’d be great now) MGW was one of the first names on Coopers team and rightly so. Morris looked like he was being eased in and looked a handful with his direct, pacy powerful running. He starts Dhanda occasionally, but normally deploys him to rescue a game when it’s too late. I wouldn’t be using Routledge any more, unless it’s as an outball when we’re hanging on to a lead. Cullen looks like he’ll be back for the run in, Whittaker looks like he could be useful. Will be very interesting to see what Cooper does with those two. | | | |

I'm fairly sure that we knew that Cooper wasn't going to use him because he was packed off on loan in the first place like. And there was plenty to suggest that he at least warranted more opportunities. Just another excuse to make for Cooper's intransigence.

Yeah, Celina is probably the most creative player that Cooper has had here and he couldn’t figure out how to use him properly. Potter got a tune out of Celina, he was terrific at times that season. Sure, creative players like that blow hot and cold as in Hernandez, Pablo but at least he was someone who sometimes made things happen. We haven’t got a single player who makes me sit up a bit when he gets the ball at the moment.

He went out on loan, but he came back and was involved in the squad. That should tell you something. [Post edited 5 Apr 2021 8:55]

He came back and made one further appearance for less than 20 minutes as a sub against Newport in the EFL cup. You're right. It does tell me something.

Celina was superb with James’ pace forcing defences to play deep and McBurnie dropping into midfield and pulling players out wide. That bought him time and space in midfield. James also has intelligence and timing to match his pace, made him a perfect teammate for Celina. He wasn’t as good without those two, but would undoubtedly have been a better creative option than Dhanda

Celina was prepared to take players on. Didn't always work but when it did it was great to see. It's why I've got so much time for Dhanda, his first instinct is always to attack. In a more offensively minded side I think we'd be seeing more from him.

Partially correct. Yet he plays Ayew every game and brought MGW in as his marquee loan

Even to Cooper the benefits of having Ayew in the team would be obvious. He's carried the side so often in the last two years it's amazing he hasn't shrunk a couple of inches.

Cooper wasn't playing him and Celina was in the Kosovo side and playing better than others even if they weren’t stellar performances.

Garrick on the bench going into a game where something different is needed was a good option to have. The others (maybe not Palmer) had chances but never really delivered. Peterson was the most underwhelming for me by far but then Cooper didn’t play wingers. He didn’t do brilliantly under potter though so best he’s gone.

So why did Cooper decide to spend half a million on him? Are you ever going to let him take one ounce of responsibility? The amount of excuses, over and over, is staggering. [Post edited 5 Apr 2021 12:39]

You seem to only pick up on my positive or neutral posts on him. If you look around i have also criticised him. That's a balanced viewpoint - taking on board the good with the bad which many seem incapable of doing. I assume he thought he was a good player, work with him before. Unfortunately it didn't really work out - his performances were poor and other players more deserving of a place. No idea what was going on behind the scenes maybe he didn't settle.
