Morning Keith definitely has.
Away fortress grounds now simple blades of grass.

What stands out for me is players underperforming have not had the stick they would have had were people paying to watch.Same applies to managers.
I 'll leave it there and keep it tidy

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

There is a small drop in home advantage. Prior to the pandemic, on average, the proportion of wins, draws and losses for the home team was 45%, 27% and 28% respectively.

During the pandemic, home teams won 43%, drew 25% and lost 32% of the time.

Various researchers have looked at this, and they found that while there appeared to only be a small effect on results, there was significant impacts on other aspects of the game.

There was a clear drop in yellow and red cards for visiting teams and the home teams have had less attempts on goal and overall dominance. I am guessing this is down to crowd pressuring the refs or alerting them to foul play; and also encouraging their own team vocally to attack.

there would have been loads of booos at the liberty ,so the players don't know how lucky they've been

Amazing isn’t it for a team who sit 4th in the league.

Imagine fans like Derby & Sheff Weds after abysmal seasons.

Some of our fans are an embarrassment.

Not sure about results but the pressure on Steve Cooper would certainly be greater (rightly or wrongly)...

If Derby or Weds were as well set as we were playing lowly teams and lost the automatic spots the outcry would be far more intense than on here mainly as they believe they really should be in the Prem many of ours do not and see glorious failure as a success .

Each to his own

Play-offs and fans returning is definitely on the cards now 3rd May 2021 15:57
As we reported last week the play offs are on the brink of being attended by supporters of all clubs this season. This includes Newport as well who will also compete in the league two play offs if they get a point against already relegated Southend on the weekend. 0

Very positive news. I suppose it’s a bit much asking everyone to be positive about our chances though 😉

Perhaps those two teams would be better off with their home crowd behind them.

And I honestly believe that we would be worse off as we as true JB would have demanded a better quality of football and would have showed disdain towards the brand showed by coopers tactics no matter what position we were in.

Fans can be as positive as they want.Makes no odds. It s just a defence mechanism for disappointment.

We are going to need a sea change in Coope and the players

Brentford Barnsley and Bournemouth are teams that not too long ago would be terrified of playing us.
