In fairness you could say that about them all. Diabolical performance

I hope this is the last time we see that back three together. Grimes - can’t take a corner to save his life, offered next to nothing. At least with players like Naughton and Bennett back there’ll be some leaders in there. Martin’s obsession with benching Piroe has to stop now.

Don't know WTF we thought we were doing tactically in that first half but RM realised he'd dropped a clanger right quick. Would have taken Fulton off personally but there we go. Bad night at the office but a hell of a wake up call. Lots of players need a rocket up the arse, Grimes especially. Can't dawdle around the pitch like he does any more.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

They're young, talented but need time and our support. Let's not forget they're also learning and adapting to a new management team and tactics. I'm not opposed to getting in a seasoned pro to sit in with them and aid their development but let's not throw them to the wolves after tonight.

With the greatest respect you had to be there tonight to appreciate the comments. There’s plenty to learn but we can’t just wash it off that everything will be ok because it was a bit better on Saturday

Absolutely agree, thats why I'm not commenting directly on tonights performance, but players particularly at centre back need time to learn learn trade. They're stepping up and it's going to be a steep learning curve for them. Neither Guehi nor Rodon were stand out poerformers when they were first introduced to the first team but we'd have them back in a heartbeat if we could.... because they matured and got better with experience. These are young boys... let's not nforget Centre Backs don't peak until they're in their late 20's. Give them a break.

I’m putting the blame on Martin rather than the individuals. He’s asking Cooper to do a hell of a lot and take on responsibility which he may not be ready for. If he insists on having a footballer playing that deeper role we may have to go with Naughts for now. Last thing we want is coopers confidence taking a hit as it looks like there could be a player there for us Early days though both for criticism and praise
