| Clucas reaction. 09:37 - Aug 18 with 2663 views | onehunglow | Says much about our fans. We seem to have become placid and compliant. Clucas action clearly grossly provocative Imagine him doing that at say,Anfield,Elland Rd or even Cardiff stad. We have,as a club ,utterly lost it. | |

No mate ,just a little overt indignation. Would that not be a normal reaction to such provocation. It really should be a red card. That action by a player is nothing but petrol to a flame.

He's a decent player that become a target for the boo boys because of his ridiculous price tag that wasn't his fault. Think I would have done the same. No issues from me.

Absolute crepe. He is devoid of any class as an individual and enjoys the provocation.

This isn’t a dig, but you need to be there to gauge the atmosphere. It was muted before he scored yesterday. It looked very unlikely we were going to get back into it even at 1-0. They were holding us at arms length. The crowd will respond to the players if they are sweating blood and flying into tackles, that wasn’t happening yesterday. It was quite despondent and the goal was coming. Clucas scoring it and goading the fans was almost predictable. If he’d scored in the last minute to put them 3-2 up in a blood and thunder game, then done that, there’d have been more of a reaction.

That was the ref 's decision to make , he chose not to , twice . Clucas of no fault of his own, became a millionaire on the backs of the Club's pervious owners and took stick for it.could you honestly say that you wouldn't have reacted the way he did and has towards us .

I’ll be honest here, I don’t like Clucas. Spending huge money on him played it’s part in our decline. He seems to try harder against us than he used to when he played here. However, if one of our players was getting abuse every touch at one of his old clubs, then scored and gave some back, I’d love it. Just as I did when Pratley and Tate goaded Cardiff fans. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Not for me. If we don't want him celebrating against us then not allowing him to score such a preventable goal would be a start. [Post edited 18 Aug 2021 10:06]

Honestly,I would have kept my shirt on and avoided a yellow card. I would have been quite warm inside to work it up fans who didnt like me cos basically I was crepe for their team. In fact,I would do what most do and not celebrate conning them into believing I still respect the fans etc. At the end of the day, he got away from our mess for a club so ,if I were he,I d be grateful alright and not full of the shyte he gives. It proves my point when our fan arent at all 'rsed when they are basically insulted to their faces. It is deeply revealing of our demise.

Our so called fans were happy to dish out abuse towards him when he played for us. Why moan when he reminds them of his name. Don't dish it out if you can't take it. [Post edited 18 Aug 2021 10:26]

But players are not really allowed to provoke the crowd and the reason why a yellow catd follows excessive celebration.

| Clucas reaction. on 11:40 - Aug 18 with 1559 views | Thornburyswan | Fundamentally disagree - for me it said much more about Clucas than it did about us, if he had grown up a tad (as opposed to the mental age of a 14/15 year old - apologies to that age group) he would have moved passed his Swansea baggage a couple of seasons back when he scored against at their place & then ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of us. Two years on you’d expect some maturity, thankfully our fans exhibited that he just showed what a complete he is.

As is the rule. The reason for the rule is to encourage the player not to provoke trouble. Let's be honest;he would not have done that as the likes of Elland Road and in that regard he is a coward. He knows our fans have been beaten down by years of mismanagement and BS. We really should be angry and I fear we ,as a fanbase, have had our spirits crushed. I hate to do this but Brentford,a previously meaningless boil of a club have been resurrected and it really does grate with some of us . We did not deserve all this .

Why wouldn't he have done it at Elland Road, you telling me their fans would jumped on pitch and clumped him.these days too much to lose doing that and that's coming from experience of clumping people on the pitch

If he'd done that in front of the North bank back in the day, the teams would have had to leave the pitch and he'd have done quite nicely if he picked up all the coins thrown at him. Times have changed. Or would people rather see more of what happened Saturday? People certainly didn't look worn down then. Clucas is a nob but I don't think us fans are worn down by what's happened at our club. We are (if anything) all worn down by what's happened this last 18 months. There are more important things than football and Clucas is but a pimple on the face of football.

Why? You serious? You been to Elland Road when they 're in full flow. Or imagine Sterling returning to Anfield and doing that in front of the Kop. Get it?

You've not been obviously. Verbally, the Kop is pretty vicious.Sterling gets it big time. Leave Anfield as a player and you have to do it with good grace.Players that have are respected, thoe who dont get hammered.

Yes ,I remember you saying.I worked there 30 years. Jeez,we've had a decent exchange and for that I'm grateful. I could have mentioned Goodison or even Millwall or West Ham with returning players;best of all St James Park or The Stad of Light . [Post edited 18 Aug 2021 20:51]

True, but you can show him contempt that he deserves. This isnt done by meekness. Clucas is certainly one to punch all night long (in an ideal world obviously)
