How about Borini? His loan played a huge part in adding £100m+ to the club’s turnover, which they were then able to repeat 6 times.
We could have said nah, he’s Chelseas player, he won’t benefit us financially.
If we’re looking to challenge for promotion, we need the best squad we can get within our means. If we’re looking at this as a consolation season where we’re embedding Martins football and are happy to finish middle of the pack, then yes, we are better off developing our own squad. | | | |
