Two teams who like to dominate the football, Coventry with their free scoring Viktor Gyökeres, and Swansea City with Joel Piroe up top means tonight there will be goals. That’s an expectation. | Tonight’s game is so special, but we need a moment of reflection on 11:11 - Nov 2 with 725 views | Catullus | There are distinctly different atmospheres. If your team is playing well there is a buzz of expectation. If not doing well there's more of a murmur of anxiety. Swansea fans have seen it all from top to bottom. The buzz when we expect to win or at least think it's possible even when we are playing a top team. Those moments when the team takes the pitch and we genuinely believe...we CAN do this. We have experienced the exact opposite too. Those moments of dread when we are playing a rubbish team but we still think, we can lose this one. The quiet anticipation of a poor performance and getting beaten, even by a team who haven't won in ages. That is our lot and the lot of football fans all over the world. On match days it can drive people to be the worst they can be, when disaster strikes it brings us together. There is agony and ecstasy, hope and despair. Right now to be a jack is a time of hope again. Long may it last.

Ive had over 60 year of it and trust me,it doesn't get any less painful. I can go back to the dark days of the 60 s ,the boom and bust years, the PL relegation all still hurt. And no it's not just a game.People get buried in coffins draped in their club's colours wearing their replica shirt. Do not anyone try to tell me it is not importantFamily is not important ;it is our lifeblood and entirely different to the importance of football

When we went belly up in the 80s ,somebody here told me I could always support Liverpool or Everton-even Tranmere ,my local club. Felt like nutting them.Swans or nothing. Frankly,I was made up we were saved so it's all a bonus really,if you think about it .

Many had told me many years ago that I was certifiable for travelling the country to see a third or fourth division team. One bitten it's in the blood.
