Songs that lift the spirit on 12:06 - Nov 2 by Professor
Always found this cheers me up. No idea why, but a favourite since 1983
Talking of the Bunnymen I’ve always thought that Killing Moon had an epic sweep to it, a grand sort of cinematic quality that elevated it far above a pop song. Couple that with the Icelandic photography they used to use on their covers and it becomes a sort of dark, Northern European folk tale. Nobody else was doing that.
An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

Mac has enough confidence for the whole city.
I think the Bunnymen's run of singles from 'The Back of Love' to "Bring on the Dancing Horses" are as good as anyone. Could easily have followed the route of U2 or Simple Minds but kept to being what they were.
I see your friend McNabb is lively on Twitter about recognising Merseyside music other than the Beatles after last weeks 2M carrot.

He' s a one alright. His autobiography is out again having been reprinted. "Merseybeast".
He is a strange lad though.
Lives with and cares for his 85 yr old mum.
Quite a brilliant musician and utterly underated by too many.
I always come back to his music after faffing around although this new piano has got me back to Billy Joel material.
Might as well sell my banjo as Ive given up on it. A decent offer and I'll sell.
