It all comes down to Tuesday night for Wales. Surely now it’s time for neutrality? 14th Nov 2021 09:00 After a 5-1 win against group whipping boys Belarus last night Wales now find themselves just one point away from a positive draw in the World Cup play offs in March next year. Bizarrely written off by some as a nothing game Wales went second in their qualification group for Qatar 2022. At the start of this campaign every one would have signed up to this scenario for sure.0

Interesting article. Few things though, early in the article it said that surely club rivalry issues are over with?
But then at the end describes yet another example of fans (we know from which club) removing a flag and also that there was trouble in the pubs. Did these happen? Haven't seen much of talk of it anywhere else and didn't see any issues myself last night at the game or in the city.
No thank you to the Millennium. The size, acoustics just does not lend itself to international football. The Spain friendly a few years ago was well attended but an extremely drab affair atmosphere wise. And would playing there really change the behaviour of scum fans? Na look how they behave at away games.
And the timings, well I don't think the FAW has a great deal of say in that does it? A 3pm KO may have encouraged more to travel knowing they'd have more chance of a train home but it's sky/UEFA who call those shots.

I agree on the millennium, not a place for internationals. The neutrality angle is regards the venue, that’s how I read it. Edit - I’ve just read it again, yes, he does say that, is there irony in there ?
He stated that another incident of a flag being taken down, or ripped down happened, it happens at nearly every Wales game in that stadium. His example is obviously true. The final bit regards trouble, there’s trouble in many pubs after rugby and football internationals, for all manner of reasons. There are examples from posters who post on here of inter club rivalry occurring last night, but I will leave it to them to post if they want to.

It’s a tricky one & I suspect for some fans of both clubs Wales in a WC Final would not be enough for neutrality leave alone a qualifying match. So there always be ‘incidents’ both actual & exaggerated at Wales matches.
I guess you either learn to live with them & focus on Welsh colours, run an increased risk if going in club colours or stay local and watch it on the telly box.

Yea fair enough, just didn't see or hear of anything myself and I was up there all day. Even heard a Joe Rodon chant in the Canton Stand at one point.
Although with the Millen being located in Cardiff I don't see any change in their behaviour stemming from that. And even if they did see it as neutral, when have Cardiff ever cared about neutrality.
Terrible this stuff still goes on. Their story doesn't really add up does it, thought swans fans didn't follow Wales? Well how come there's always swans flags for them to target?

I didn’t witness any issues in the Euros in 2016, fans of all clubs mixing no problems at all. Cardiff fans were fine as were everyone else, I do know there were issues but nothing I can comment on.

With dickheads like this mug who appeared in our Reuters photo pack from Friday night in Gibraltar it’s never going to change. If I’m right as to who he is he must be sixty odd, what a mess.

I think the flag was a Wrexham flag, Swansea flag was ripped down recently at the same stadium.

I assume you mean the folically challenged chap standing by barrier pointing at other fans?

Why anyone would advertise pants and vests at a Wales game is beyond me.

I have been away watching Wales with Cardiff fans (from Pencoed) where other Basseys don’t want to bother with them as they are drinking with Jacks.
I will never watch Wales at legoland.

Some idiot in the full moon last night, overweight misfit. Walking round saying to people, you cardiff, same in the city arms I think it’s called. Pushing and threatening going on, a few punches. I didn’t find the atmosphere in certain places very welcoming at all last night.

I must admit Cardiff like most city’s would be similar on any given Saturday night. So I think pouring it all into the same pot as football related is dodgy ground. Much the same as Gruff seeing police vehicles going here and there, they may be going to other non related incidents.
There were a few incidents in the full moon I’ve been told.

A steward ripped my flag down last night. A Wales flag with Builth on it. I skipped across to him just as he was removing it. His excuse was , it was covering some advertising. He said they were removing them if they covered advertising. I put it straight back up and told him to do one. He came back 5 minutes later with his supervisor. Who just happened to be the guy who is one of the head stewards at The Liberty, who i chat to most match days, as he stands by gate 12 before a game. He said don't worry about it and the flag stayed up. I am thinking we're flags removed because a few Cardiff stewards felt the need to remove them. By the way, the advert was from a company I know well, they went bust a couple of months ago.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

There’s always a few idiots though isn’t there? On either side, ie if a game was played in swansea or cardiff. Good and bad everywhere. Some of the biggest W ankers I’ve e er met are following cardiff away, also met some really sound fellas

Na that's a cop out.
We know exactly what team's fans instigate the most trouble at Wales amongst our own fans.

Nonsense….it’s the chip on yer shoulder that’s the issue. Let it go. It’s always been cardiff and Wrexham en mass at Wales away, always getting on and rarely even consider swansea. naturally that event was swamped by fans from everywhere for the Euros, everyone was just happy to be there. No bother. There’s always going to be some trouble on a Friday or sat eve, meat wagons, flashing lights etc…regardless of football. Probably less last night than usual to be honest

And yet there's a flashpoint / incident involving Swansea and Cardiff fans almost every game.

Yeah, chip on the shoulder, so that mug in Gibraltar with a PVM flag hasn’t got many chips then.
