I’d have hoped the management would have had satisfactory work from home arrangements in place by now considering the number of cases there have been including the passing of a member of staff who actually posted on the forum.

Most working age people in Wales (well, in my area anyway) haven't been able to get a booster yet. My dad's 60 and still not had it. Was trying to get it weeks ago but they kept saying 'wait till you're called', and now can't get it because I'm down visiting for Xmas and isolating with Covid. By all accounts 2 vaccines is pretty useless at stopping you catching this new variant, even if it's still pretty good at preventing severe illness. This is where the isolation rules are causing the damage. After 4/5 days of symptoms your infectiousness begins to drop off a cliff (funnily enough generally as you start to feel better), yet you've got to fanny around at home for another 5 days on the basis that you're technically possibly still infectious even if that infectiousness is radically reduced & you have no symptoms. Back to 7 day isolation on the proviso you have a negative lateral flow on the 7th day? Not perfect but a reasonable indication that you aren't likely highly infectious at that point. And I've just read as I was writing this that this is basically (6th and 7th days) what England are doing. Seems perfectly sensible to me, so I fully expect Drakeford to come flying out of the traps tomorrow and decry it as an awful idea.

Builth vaccine centre are doing 1200 a day, twice what they normally do. Excellent service. Open to anybody. Powys NHS.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

With a big employer like Tata, its always gonna happen I suppose, human nature being what it is, sadly, I whatsapped a photo of my LFT to my manager last night, he knew I wasn't well though.
