10 games previous to that we were top of the league. 10 games after that we were in and around the play offs.
While the defeat was extremely disappointing, the context of the season and where we were made it far easier to forget and move on as we were still playing to (and above) the teams capabilities.
It’s a world away from being 15th, awful for the majority of the season despite having an extremely talented side, being smashed by many teams, and having a 9-2 home and away demolition by a manager who’s style is the symbol of what we have moved away from.
Effective football being ditched for egotistical nonsense.
The Forest defeats hit home far deeper, it would be naive to suggest/pretend otherwise. |  |

5-1 is always pants but WBA were top, eventually getting promoted as runners up. Even after that result we were only 2 points off the play offs, which is a lot less than we are away from them now, so probably not a great comparison. Especially considering in hindsight we know we did get to the play offs that season and we know for a fact we can't this season. |  |
