| If our owners were to read this forum on 18:16 - May 22 with 2443 views | Lorax | Pep Guardiola, because he can personally afford to buy better players than we have! OK, to be realistic, I don't know. I'd need to look at who will be left here and at the signing we could realistically make and that is already an impossible task. Harry darling, we already be priced out there. Nothing I suggest will be realisitc because it will include stumping up some money. [Post edited 22 May 2022 18:27]

Also Oladapo Afolayan at Bolton, has had a fantastic season playing mainly off the left hand side, fits the bill if we are looking at wingers who can dribble with a bit of end product.

I would say Swift is an option. WBA reported close to signing him.

Out of curiosity why Dany Mota? Ive not seen too much of him, but his record in Serie B isn't exactly great.

102 goals/contributions in 190 games, young, free - great resale potential. As you say been in Serie B, so salary shouldn't be too big.

There is not much love or respect shown to them. Turn up and get a pile of abuse? Regularly referred to as 'Yanks'. No thanks for the season ticket discount or the free food at Sunderland a few years back. They get very little credit for anything. They recognise now there is little point in trying to get on side with these fans.

I don't want to turn this into another pointless trust v owners debate but let's at least be accurate here. The trust and fans on several occasions stated those initiatives were great and provided public statements saying so, so don't pretend there was no thanks. Let's not invent 'narratives'. Let's also be clear that the money used for this initiatives was paid for out of the club's funds and not out of the pockets of the owners (and that'll be the case if the CLN loans are converted or repaid). It's fine that they don't ever come to watch, I don't really care, but no one can ever moan when anyone calls them absentee owners and question their interest in the club given their decision not bother being involved until it's time to block proposed transfers come the window.

He knows his stuff, maybe he can trade his winter signings whilst here and check his earnings on interest paid at the same time.

He's going to conclude all the transfer business early apparently. Absolutely no prospect of us scurrying around on deadline day for signings and shifting people out the door. Oh wait....
