1 family member of mine has had it 4 times now. Where my mum is atm there's two cases on her ward ( not an isolation ward) , visiting is still allowed but with stricter protocols than we've recently seen . In the past month 6 members of my family have been reinfected with varying degrees of symptoms and are ok now but I do wonder what long term effect its having on those who have had it more than twice

"these are very senior Dr's and Professors and it's not for me to say they are making a mistake"
No, it's not. So why the hell is he?
His only medical qualificatuonis that he was once an A&E nurse.
Aside from that there is very little in there that hasn't been reported on the BBC. As infections rise so will deaths and hospitalisations of those infected. That's inevitable.
We need to worry when the people in hospital being treated for covid casues a problem, as it was before vaccination.
I've just watched it again. It's downright inaccurate and cherry picked scaremongering. He mentions a Japanese paper that states new variants are reinfecting lung tissue and causing respiratory distress, he then links this to an increase in hospitalisations. This is false - the paper is based on lab experiments on hamsters, hamsters who haven't been vaccinated or had covid before. It is of no relevance.

Yep.
Hospitalisations still a fraction of where they were during the worst of it. Vaccination did the hard work last year. Peaks and troughs will still be a feature for a while as various variants work themselves out. Still not much to be concerned about IMO.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I agree there isn't. Although this wave it isn't good news.
But this video doesn't help matters. I'd stick his background props including his bottle of vitamin D, vitamin K, medical dictionary and most importantly his golden youtube creator award up his hoop.

Something else too, we have been told (I'm sure I saw it on UK news channels) that the new variants will need to be identified and the current vaccines will have to be adjusted to maintain efficacy.
We have been warned, it's nothing new and nothing to panic over. I'm sure that the labs are already working on adjusting the vaccines to suit these new variants.

I did warn 3weeks ago on here but I was put down
Anyway had a nice fortnight in work without masks when not with a patient
Pretty obvious that as cases rise so would restrictions ,watch this space and reactions should they try to revert back to the conditions we had to endure over the past 2 years

Why would they? They told us that the vaccines would see the end of lockdowns. Unless they were wrong of course.

After the respect politicians had for previous regulations nobody will listen if they try again.
