This post is about the Senedd. Not another anti British off topic post surely Killy. When is Drakeford going to start his enquiry about his and the Senedd's handling of the pandemic?

Don't think anyone is entitled to that much overtime especially not a senior civil servant who don't get paid overtime.

You are obsessed Cat. It's no healthy. You must dream of the Senedd every night. Take a break, perhaps dream of Johnson and co, and their billions given to their mates during the pandemic. Or the ring road around Worcester that I spend 2 hours going 10 miles every Monday morning. Etc etc.

As it states in the article she was on reduced hours yet had to work fulltime to cope with the demands of covid. This would normally be given as annual leave, yet due to her finishing her annual leave days outstanding were paid. If that is true i dont see much wrong with that.

Hold up now, why was her finishing date brought forward, why couldn't she have been told to take her leave days? The official auditor has said there is no proper evdence as to why this payment was made and they have all the paperwork. it looks to me like they brought her finishing date forward so they could give her a nice chunky sum.

There is no answer in the article for why her finishing date was brough forward. It might be dodgy but it might not be. If she had already gone onto reduced hours and was owed near £40,000 in wages for those hours this may have meant she would need to stay on past her retirement to take those hours (Just an idea). Without the full facts its impossible to say either way.

Yes and the auditor has the full facts, as much as are available and he said it's not good enough. If she had holidays to take she could still have used them for any remaining time and if any were left after that then pay her. It's still a nice crack, if I have any holidays left at years end, unless it was caused by management, I lose them. it's different rules for some people. Why do people defend this with the Senedd, if this was Bojo paying Gove off and the auditors called him on it, he'd be getting mullered and rightly so.

I'm not defending it, but I share the auditors view that more facts are required to prove the ligitmacy of the payment. Currently it is not clear whether this was okay or not. Blame your employer for that, I know most public sector and some private offer to pay for untaken leave or roll some days onto the next year. Its a disgrace what some companies can get away with treating their workers. I mean there might be more pressing issues or reasons to criticise than a civil servant getting accrued holiday hours paid up to them.

I think the possibility of government corruption is always a very pressing matter. Drakeford criticises Westminster a lot but it looks very akin to hypocrisy, what he says and what he does. The audito has asked for more info on this but theWelsh government have faied to respond, he asked them months back. What is there to hide? if its nothing then why not provide the full facts?

So a contractual hours and accounting discrepancy are directly down to Drakeford? It may well have been fiddled, but i don't think that Drakeford is directly responsible for whatever this has been, mistake, truth or fix. There is so much to criticise Drakeford for that is fact, but I'm sorry this is just clutching at straws.

I don't think people were directly critical of Drakeford just the Senedd. The clue is in the title of this post.

The post i responded to was "Drakeford criticises Westminster a lot but it looks very akin to hypocrisy, what he says and what he does." Suggesting that Drakeford had somehow decided to do this. Which is quite ludicrous.

Obsessed? No mate, you must be obsessed because every time I criticise the Senedd up you pop with whataboutery. Maybe, yet again, you don't see my posts being critical of Bojo and the tories. Maybe you choose to ignore them because it suts you more to label me a tory. Newsflash mate, Wales is run by the Senedd, when the Senedd is being rubbish I will criticise the Senedd, not Westminster like you Labour supporters. Thing is, I don't live in Worcester. I live in Skewen where my council tax is higher than Mumbles (in the same band) under a labour council. We have Coedffranc Council who have a Mayor, a MAYOR for a population of less than 10k. Unlike you and others on here I will not blame Westminster for problems caused by Welsh governance.
