The World Cup break 07:39 - Oct 9 with 1041 viewsAguycalledJack

Given our recent form and on the basis we keep that going, will the World Cup break be a benefit or a hinderance to us?

I don’t think the break itself will be much of an issue.

The congested fixture list it causes might be. We’ve always seemed to struggle in the third game of a Saturday - midweek - Saturday run under Martin and we looked a bit leggy in the second half yesterday. We were easily the better team first half, we looked tired and let them back into it in the second.

Think it will be a benefit it may even serve as a test if they want to make it a permanent thing. Hope not as the Christmas period football is brilliant

Will Swans good form last until the World Cup, we hope so but the World Cup is still a good few matches away yet.

I suspect even FIFA are well over the idea of Winter World Cups by now and would rather just get the whole Qatar debacle out of the way.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We've got 8 games over the next 5 weeks, we could probably do with a bit of a break by then. Might be a bit of a blessing for us.
