Is bang on the money here. People spend ludicrous amounts of money at Christmas. Buying presents for anyone even remotely connected with them.
I buy gifts for my mother, Mrs Winston, my stepkids & my nieces. Got non gifting arrangements with everyone else, apart from my dad. This year we've set a budget of £5. One year it was a pound, and I don't think I've had that much fun working out what to buy for anyone before or since.
