Closed 3 days this week Christmas Day Sunday.

I wonder if any other clubs are as stupid as this on the lead up to Christmas madness really.

I live in the North East and the Boro shop opens Monday Wednesday Thurs Friday and Saturday 0900 till 5.00.
And that's every week.

Went down there yesterday to buy the grandkids some gifts it was totally rammed.

A total joke from us really.

Same goes with the kids grassroots football, loads of pitches up here 4G as well with ex players helping out with coaching.

What do we do in comparison.

Agree on both.
I organise a weekly footy game.
The availability of 7 a side pitches is poor in the evening.
Only two at Pure Football and they are booked solid
The place is always busy so definitely the demand is there.
Same with the ticket office.
Lots of Swans and Osprey fans need or want to buy face to face yet it is only open ( I think ) two days a week ?
Madness

Meadow View is another which is popular with the kids but then try playing the same on say the likes of Tircanol /Mynydd Newydd and you have to start again .Went to the Club shop yesterday, I initially thought they had a power cut but it was blinds down , not even a window display was available

Good extended pitch up at Meadow View but no lights ?
Yes, playing on the 3G pitches is fine for old fogies like me but the youngsters get a false impression of what grassroots football is like.
Need more money put into artificial sports pitches in the area.
Millions spent at Neath on new leisure centre which is good, but as far as I know no expansion of outdoor facilities?
Crazy situation with the club shop

Meadow View , yes there's lights there . After many years it looks like the east side of the city will have its first artificial sports pitches whilst some have had at least 3 g for many a year, considering the amount of clubs out of the east side that is pretty poor in relation to the rest of Swansea, hopefully that will change .

It’s what has always annoyed me,the way we actually discourage people from buying Merch.
Few years back,I was in a Swans sports store and wanted a top . Couldn’t Farke find one until a staff member told me Debs had them.
We were Prem League then yet on,y the big Billy bollox club shirts available .

My grand kids play there regularly , its a nice little set up in fairness , more of which the City needs iimo. Nearest I get to kicking a ball these days is in my head so good on you

I suppose these days running costs have to be seriously considered , went into town yesterday with the wife and for the run up to Christmas surprisingly ( or not these days) it wasn't particularly busy anywhere , even the Kardomah where we traditionally have lunch was closed .

The club have been sending out freebie’s to Junior season ticket holders.
I know one kid who was sent the Annual, another who was send a Swans Xmas hat, and another who had a Swans Xmas mug sent them. Very generous.

The East Side of the city had the first and second artificial pitch in Swansea in 1980s at the old Morfa stadium Both has floodlights. Back then the only the only road Bridges were in Morriston and Swansea City centre. If you wanted to avoid the long detour to the east of the city you had to cross the old wooden footbridge.

The best non matchday sales for 7 years yesterday. Stayed open late, which proved very successful.
