Two season is thee absolute end of the road for this particular brand of football. I d not believe the players have to be superstars to pass accurately and retain possession. The system itself should evolve if it is any good.
After 24 month I expect to see team easy on the eye and comfortable doing its game plan. I do not expect to see narrow escapes that Fisher did on Saturday. Suicide is not part of the plan. Te plan if it is a good plan will resut in better result and more points
Swansea need to finish 8th or above in my personal assessment of progress. Martin can complain about lack of transfers a but all his rivals apart from one or two are in the same boat. Millwall are outperforming Swansea on less income and a weaker academy. . |  |

There will be an element of truth to that. The foundations are there for a good manager to tighten us up, reduce the sloppy defending and make us capable of faster, more incisive attacking moves.
He doesn’t seem to have the ability to get there, but his successor will inherit a team he doesn’t have to completely deconstruct to make competitive. | | | |

The question is though, has it really happened at all. League position suggests it may not have.
Two things from the article which by the way is a very informative piece.
Firstly, it says that one if the keys to success with his style is understanding between players. This is not going to happen if we are forever bringing in season long loans. If they don’t form an understanding immediately then by the time they do they move in.
Secondly, it says Swansea are the best football side in the league. Well that needs defining because in my mind it’s a toss up between Burnley and Sheffield Utd. |  |

I certainly will be right either way.
These are international pedigree players (Cabango, Manning, Ntcham, Allen) other players have played Premier League football and others have been at clubs that have drilled that into them since day 1 of their footballing lives. We have players that have played for Liverpool, Spurs and PSV.

He didn’t say they will beat us, he said any team that is organised and patient “can” beat us.
