Lot's of strange things have been written over the last couple of weeks, mostly to fill column inches.
What it breaks down to, is if, as written by some, he is such an up and coming 'star' well where was the list of other clubs showing an interest in him.
Whatever the past let's hope he is a benefit to the team for at least the rest of the season. | | | |

Rangers WBA Plymouth were all interested at a price. Swansea can only get and keep good prospects in they are late developers or like Wayne Routledge been around the block and eventually found a home. Jenkins kept him well nourished.
Fans need to understand £11m for Rodon was a tremendous deal in the new world of financial limitations. £9 for Downes rising to £14m, outstanding work.
Swansea next big thing will not be Piroe but Lloyd, Cotterill or Congreve or even younger.
Whitaker's figure in League 1 speak for themselves. He also ha england underage pedigree. Just what Swansea need to develop. |  |

If Plymouth are in the automatic promotion places come the end of the season then & only then can they really talk down Whitaker’s achievements & capabilities.
If RM doesn’t use him then the journalist may have a point with regards his end of season value.
For what it’s worth I think he will get a chance, just hope it’s a fair crack not just 10 minute cameos or the Okoflex treatment |  | | |
