Last week coming up with his morning show on radio 2. The BBC won't even let him see out his contract until the end of March and finishes next Friday. End of and era and quite possibly radio 2.

Exactly, expect a 50% drop off in listeners.

I try not to listen to Radio 2...it's now become the new Radio 1. Ken has been treated awfully.

Stopped listening a while back now , him and Wogan made the day easier to bare, BBC really not for me although I still listen to the shipping forecast , mentally following the coast line of the UK ,don't ask why

It’s the journey of life. Radio 1, Radio 2, Classic FM, Heart, Magic, dead.

Personally I don't like shouty shouty DJS.
Even as a kid I listened to John Peel especially during the punk revolution. He spoke to you, presented the music. That's all you need.
Radio 2 had Wogan a gifted presenter. Steve Wright was maybe a bit passé but better than the current dance geezer chap. Ken Bruce I quite enjoyed. Johnny Walker is a top man!

Johnnie Walker is the only presenter I make an effort to hear on his Sunday Show .

Ken Bruce always seemed to keep his broadcasts , and music , appealing to the likes of me added to Walkers Sunday slot .

Think Radio 2 decided after Chris Evans left they would keep the morning show uptempo and brought in the screaming , hysterical Zoe Ball , switch off time , awful .

Never met him , but the late Chris Needs on Radio Wales was a must listen , so genuine .

Enjoy Owen Money on Radio Wales too

I used to love listening Chris Needs on a night shift he was very funny and all the old biddies phoning in was joyfully Welsh.

Radio 2 is gash now it doesn't matter who's show is on it's all the same.

There was some decent music about then with all types of music tastes catered for . late sixties and the 70's for me a great time to be alive .
