There is a problem in that cheap food is very often fattening.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Or maybe encourage people to have kids only when financially viable That way, there is no reliance on the state . We are told food cheaper to feed a family that good foood, which is of course garbage . Problem is too many can’t or won’t learn how to feed their family. My parents generation had nowt, they even had rationing. Imagine that now. They even scrubbed the front door step, with spit and polish too. People now are entitled ,selfish and shallow

There's a lot of cheap food that isn't fattening, unless it's eaten in large quantities.

| Obesity killing more than malnutrition? on 21:35 - Mar 5 with 1634 views | Scotia | It's definitely too easy to get unhealthy food delivered to you at the moment. I've used Uber eats once, My neighbours use it daily. Greggs breakfast, Mcdonalds for lunch and a takeaway in the evening on a good day. All ordered and paid for quicker than I've written this. | | | |

But the 2012 article you originally quoted said this. "Jess Greenwood's claim seems to be based uppon newspaper headlines that were generated over a year ago. However the claim isn't just dated, it also appears to be wrong. While the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies did claim that the number of obesity cases outnumbered the number of people afflicted by malnutrition (although according to the World Health Organization statistics they cite, this only holds true if you include the obese and overweight), it didn't argue that obesity was the bigger killer worldwide." There is still no statistics to say otherwise, only that Obesity is linked to deaths. Obesity is not even referenced in causes of deaths worldwide, whereas malnutrition is. Not that I am saying obesity is good thing, it is not, but headlines alone can be very misleading.

In the WHO paper there is a statement to say that Globally more deaths are linked to being overweight or obese than underweight. Calculating the impact is essentially problematic for example how do you account for the difference between childhood malnourishment and obesity in older adults? There's plenty of research and reports available but the trend is that eating too much of the wrong type of food is an increasing problem worldwide and increasingly impacts poorer countries. I think we can agree that this growing problem is not a good thing for mankind.

| Obesity killing more than malnutrition? on 15:03 - Mar 6 with 1501 views | BarrySwan | There were details of an excellent exercise to help prevent many cases of obesity and general overweight issues described on the TV some years ago. It's quite simple and can be carried out several times a day in no time at all. Here it is for those that may find it useful. What you do is:- 1) Put both hands on the edge of your meal table with your arms slightly bent at the elbow. 2) Then ever so gently straighten your arms whilst pushing your chair and yourself away from the table. Happy to have been of help to those will find this information helpful. | | | |

And being to lazy to exercise, saying that you can not out run a bad diet so eating well certainly helps, they promote healthy eating but more often than not healthy food is a lot more expensive than unhealthy foods, strange old world isn't it.

Calories are what gives us the energy to live. Too many when we don’t burn them off means we become overweight . Be active, exercise ,if only slow burning intercourse . It all helps

"more often than not healthy food is a lot more expensive than unhealthy foods" I don't think that's entirely true, for the price of a double burger at McDonalds, I could make a healthy meal for at least 2 people. People are just to lazy to cook.
