Moses was one genocidal, evil, bloodthirsty and sadistic S.O.B, what with "the Midianite massacre" he ordered. Killing all those men women and children, albeit saving some (not all) females so they could be used as slaves. Bit of mercy there by Moses's standards?

I hope they cut out that scene, along with the scene where Moses and his congregation was responsible for stoning the guy who was caught gathering sticks on a Sunday? Nothing more heinous than that?

QUOTE: "32 Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. 34 They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.

35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” 36 So, as the Lord commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died.

It is quite dramatic how the lord our God seems to transfigure himself from an angry vengeful genocidal murderous maniac in the Old Testament to a kind and loving new age father in the New Testament. Perhaps the Holy Ghost visiting Mary in the night and sneaking up her loincloth whilst Joseph was out carpenting calmed him down somewhat.

It's the Jekyll and Hyde characterisation of it all, along with absolutely mind-blowing contradiction and hypocrisy.

I once had the misfortune to have met a revolting Presbyterian minister and his equally revolting wife, both of whom a good few years after my encounter were rather pleased by Covid 19, deeming it to be God's punishment upon us all.

Yet? That pair will preach God's goodness along with Jesus's love for us all.

An extreme miniscule minority of religious people (Christian radicals) are every bit as wicked, twisted, sadistic and mediaeval in thought as ISIS. I seriously see little difference tbh.

Becoming a parent changes us all, even an omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient being gets changed by the Dad/Mum/parent gene

The greatest story ever told they called it, better than jack to a King? I don't think so thought they both contain plenty of lies.

Another badass for ya! Joshua!

I reckon the Nazi 'Dirlewanger Brigade' must have been heavily influenced by Josh? What with the genocide of man, woman, child and animal along with absolutely everything else that happened to enter into its wave(s) of absolute destruction and evil. And do not forget all the looting and pillaging.

QUOTE: "But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD. (20) So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. (21) And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword."

I’ve no issue with folks having their own religion.

As long as it doesn’t impact on me.

Going off at a tangent, Life of Brian was simply blasphemous.
Had that been Allah pilloried ,just imagine.

Depends what you describe as blasphemous. Jesus actually appears in that film and they treat him with dignity and respect. The comedy comes from the baby Brian being born in the stable next door and is a relatively ordinary bloke continuously being mistaken for being the messiah.

It’s subjective .
The film utterly ridicules Jesus and his life.
It disrespects ,at the very least.

As regards Islam, any disrespect leads to possible fatwa .
