The cost of that is concerning, a move across the world, bringing his family as well. And lets put it this way I would wager his mrs isn’t packing the family china in newspaper whilst writing ‘bedroom’ or whatever on boxes.

Fans like us cannot have it both ways. The usual complaint is the so called "Yanks" show no interest in the club. It makes sense to me for he US owners to have someone like them running the show rather than a steady hand "Limey".

The good thing about the club at the moment is that Martin has done reasonably well with transfers knows exactly what he wants and knows plenty about the kids coming through the ranks having been spotted at u21 and u18 games.

He is 2 years into his role and apparently keen on staying on the back of a good run. He has over come the 'January jitters' and still on board with the project. (excuse me for using that word).Cooper sulked after the JJs. So did Martin but he came through and did not notionally 'down tools' after the last day of the season. The players he wanted in January are still available and probably cheaper overall.

Who was the last manager to go into year 3. It is nosebleed territory.

I am still not entirely convinced all corners have been turned. Martin for whatever reason has always been a patchy manager with 'W's and 'L's in near perfect balance. With new resources can he stop being 'Mr Mid table' and still always looking 12 months hence.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

And I'd bet he isn't buying a house, it's either rented or the club will pay at very great cost because it won't be in Sketty or Derwen fawr will it, it'll be a mansion down the Gower with a massive garden, a company car or two and private school for any kids (does he have school aged kids?) which will be on expenses.

His moving here lock, stock could be as expensive as a new players wages.

I know, I'm a cynic

If I was in charge of Swansea Supporter's Trust I would think about buying one or two Gower villas (as you describe) and rent them out to Swansea city AFC for use of Swansea players and executive staff or even use it as a place for new signing / officers to settle in.

They have £1m on current account declining in value year on year due to inflation by as much as 10%. This is catastrophic in my view.

A property on their books used for football purposes linked to the club fits the bill and protects their cash from inflation by giving a monthly rent income.

This way notionally keeps the majority of these sorts of costs recycled in the bodies related to the club. The Trust members and board need to show a bit off creative imagination simple to survive.
