Poll: Who plays at RB next game?

With Watson in the building he would not have been a good signing. Swansea need watson to find unpolished diamonds and develop them. Davis wanted £2m a year and his stats were modest.

Andy Scott found Goykeres who was ideal for Swansea but he was not able to impress Cooper sufficiently. There is a similarity with Kukharevich perhaps.

There is obviously some money being held back for January, when for me we should be in the market for a forward player at least.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

That money has been held back for five or six years now!

The club gets a bad press and managers get good press. The narrative is Cooper was pushed out of the club by the owners not backing him. Fans are easy meat for lazy thinking and manipulative media who speak to the manager not the chairman regularly. I expect Coleman to change this. "Had Davis come it was the PL". Except he is not that great and gets injured a lot.

Martin used the same trick after the "catastrophic" January window. If they spent money in January it was the PL at least play offs. Someone will believe this nonsense. Martin had his collar felt by Kaplan after january stopped talking too much and actually got better result using Cullen, Cooper and Darling. Most Championship teams spent very little. Sheff utd nothing and they still got promoted.

Lets see how Martin does with gigantic budget.

The reason for this is PR. Cooper failed and "let it be known" he would have taken Swansea to the PL if he had a centre forward. He had one available for £1.5m but did not play him. Goykeres is much better than Davis and does not get injured. Cooper 'only' had Goykeres raw admittedly.

Managers should trust in the clubs judgement. Duff should trust in Watson. Njoe A On has work to do to get in past the new boys.

Sheffield United had two strikers valued at £40m up top last season in addition for a fairly large steady squad. They did not need to buy.

A double bullet we didn’t avoid was Jordan Morris and Paul Arriola (signed sealed and delivered from the yanks) who failed to appreciate the position we were in that January.

I believe they were a bonus as I suspect they did not cost a great deal. Morris was unlucky just as Gibbs White was unlucky. Goykeres was sent back by Cooper. It was his mistake not to develop him and persuade the club to buy him as a future £20m player.

Fans prefer to blame the owners for this.

Looks like we dodged a bullet with insight regards Keinan Davis.

Lets throw another angle on this, who remembers when John Cornforth had his bad injury early doors with us and then went on to prove his worth.

It's not always about the here and now.

"Sheffield spent nothing" ...

They spent nothing, because they couldn't - they were under a Transfer Embargo!!

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

They signed nobody but could have if they wanted to. Cardiff are under an embargo and have signed two Greek internationals permanently and a handful of players on loan.

Most clubs only signed one or two players in January. Martin controlling the narrative wanted more signing to get him out of a hole. Fisher, Darling, Sorinla, Oko Flex, Fin Steven were not performing.

The January window which was 'quiet' but not a 'catastrophe' as promoted by Martin and Western Mail for the club but was for Martin who wanted a quick fix. He had to use what he had and perform better himself.
