That is been taxed on income not wealth.
You can have billions and billions of wealth and basically not be taxed on it, the argument is, well not so much an argument as what can be done about it, is the mega rich are buying up all the assets (property, land) and the middle classes will eventually be left with nothing as future middle classes won't be able to afford property and land, so everybody will be poor owning nothing apart from the mega rich. | |
