Casey for me is a strange one , yes he's a loan player and should in theory be second in the pecking order when considered against on of our " own" but wasn't Marc Ghuei on loan and after a slightly dodgy start became a regular for us , in fact first name on the team sheet in the opinion of some . Neither Burgess or Cabango have actually played well so far so maybe its time to freshen things up. | |

It seems to me that the summer recruitment was not well thought out, be it purchases or loans. It smacks of a kid in a sweet shop, no thought no planning just buy what you fancy. We appear to be overloaded in some areas and not necessarily with quality. As Matos reiterates we need to create a team, with the possibility of loans going back it looks as if we need a complete reset again. Some of the purchaces in the summer are being funded over several years restricting our future spending. I ask the question, is the squad really better than last season? If not who is to blame? Did Sheehan carry the can for poor recruitment both in players and coaching. |  | | |

I don’t think so. I think this squad is much better than Sheehan and his team made it look.
Appreciate he did a phenomenal job last season and is a genuine and likeable guy, but the tactics were drab and predictable. It’s always going to be an uphill battle when you can’t construct an attack.

As I've said, the way we capitulated at WBA really worries me.
You would think that having a 2 goal start after 11 minutes they would be able to manage to see it out.
It baffles me that any team after getting a good start would revert to being negative.
I said it soooooo many times at the game, especially half time when the young uns were celebrating a victory in the concourse, that this ain't over with, there were signs late in the first half that told me we were going to struggle and I was prived right 🙄
Why cant teams just carry on with the relentless onslaught that got them the lead 🤷
