Sell him for £20M or more and no less. Rip the plaster off and let's get it done. I would love him to stay but it would be silly not to sell him while he is hot. With a lack of pre season time, and in my opinion, he might not hit the same heights 2 seasons in the row, cash in now. I do think even if we have added goals in our wingers and they can play in different positions we should be looking for another striker too, a gem in the international market. | | | |

We normally pay for players over the length of their contracts and the transfer fees that have been quoted often include unachievable add ons. We have therfore only spent about 20%-30% of the transfer fees quoted possibly less. I did hear that we insisted on the Galbraith money being paid up front, but even if it was amortisation throw in the Cullen fee and we have not spent as much as the headline figures seem. Personally I think we are under no pressure to sell Vipotnik although he will leave if a specific fee is achieved and he wants to go. |  | | |

I think what was meant is that Galbraith’s fee was amortised over four years but we enacted the use of it in total which has implications. That’s a possibility, but for me highly unlikely for the entirety of the fee. | |

Football finances are not as they were. Transfer fees are publicly distorted depending on the clubs wishes. Undisclosed is often used as is a figure inflated to include unachievable add ons. Then there is amortisation spreading the cost over several years. Its very difficult to calculate the net spend year on year. This is why I asked Keith for his opinion as someone more "in the know". | | | |
