A very bitter sweet feeling in the Mole hole today! Woke up this morning absolutely buzzing after Warnock's inspired win last night and then that good feeling came crashing down to earth as it hit home that the club are making yet more unnecessary changes.

Warnock's passion and energy clearly rubbed off on this group of players and that transferred to the supporters, well me at least. Really feeling the QPR buzz for the first time this season.

Really do feel Ferdinand is pulling a PC stunt here - real shame - all the best Neil and thank you.

First of all, my opinion is just as important as everyone's on here and that's my point, regardless of skin colour but I raised that point about mine before the PC brigade tore me a new one!

The point about Sir Les, is why keep going on about it? I find it embarrassing and just hoped he could crack on without highlighting these issues. Sure, if you are asked the question then answer diplomatically, not keep banging on about black this and that!

We are QPR, all colours and creeds and so we should embrace that and not keep singling out people, but yes in answer to a few replies here I do believe Les is trying to make a statement - just my opinion...

I'm guessing he keeps mentioning it because he keeps being asked about it.

i think london is the most tolerant place in the world and am very pleased my club has a black DOF and manager.

does that make a member of the pc brigade?

for what it is worth if Warnock got the managers job i am sure we would have had a power struggle with him and les which would have overshadowed the coming window. Good luck Jimmy,

i have yet to see a comment on this board that stated or even suggested anyone is unhappy seeing a black DOF or a black manager at QPR. there are lots of posters like yourself who are jumping to those conclusions though.

the concern (certainly my one) was whether Les's strong feelings regarding the rooney rule and the lack a black managers affect the managerial appointment at QPR. I have been told by many and in no uncertain terms that his 2 appointments and 1 interviewee all being black is purely coincidental. Don't think I even had a single comment that agreed...point taken.

anyhow the appointment has now been made and in JFH it's an excellent appointment. he deserves the full support of every QPR supporter.

for the record i despise prejudice and intolerance of any kind.

time to move on.

I'm worried at way an alternative view gets shouted down on here. Like you I despise prejudice and intolerance. Let's tolerate other people's views and not gang up on them.

Opinions are fully allowed to be had, and to be heard.

They are definitely not to be automatically accepted or respected though. They have to be able to stand up

If anyone has a real reason to accuse Les of choosing a manager by race and not for for football reasons, then it's a different kettle of fish.

But vague questions and wonderings about his managerial choice are just that, and don't deserve much creedence given to them.

JFH has enough in his CV to be worth a shot. He may not be the first choice for many, but I really hope he gets more of a shot from the fans than Ramsey did.

"If anyone has a real reason to accuse Les of choosing a manager by race"

surely it's Les himself who has said on many occasions that he advocates the selection of managerial candidates by race

No, he hasn't, Grim. That would be racism.

He has advocated the interviewing of at least one minority candidate as part of a greater interviewing process. That is entirely different.

Any that hint Jimmy got the job because he is a black man and that Les being another black man gave it to him because he likes giving jobs to other black men.

If you'd like to hunt them out yourself they often include following words:

Experiment
PC
Rooney
Ramsey

Hopefully that's less coy.

So let's get this clear, we've just appointed a manager who -

- took over a team that, after a good start, had lost 7 out of 10 (did Ramsey even manage that!?) prior to his arrival, immediately turned their form around and won the league comfortably.

- has taken that same team to the top of League 1 in their first year up, drastically overachieving.

- is already renown for his ability to organise a team defensively, get them working hard for each other as a unit and making them very hard to score against. Whilst at the same time creating MORE GOAL SCORING CHANCES THAN ANY OTHER TEAM IN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE!

- could have used his playing career to shoehorn himself into a Big Job but refused and deliberately chose to manage at a lower level to learn his trade and prove himself (which he has clearly done).

- sees us as a step up. Wants to improve, wants to grow.

- worked with a very small budget but still managed to find players to fit his, clearly successful, way of playing.

- has his players respect, admiration and most importantly willingness to work hard for him and translate his plans.

- bound to have a few decent contacts in the game around Europe, never hurts if you're smart enough (he seems to be) to use them wisely.

- has fans of Burton taking the time and trouble to come onto LFW to tell us how lucky we are and how much they love him. Compare please with Redknapp and Hughes.

- clearly doesn't take nay sh1t.

-played at the highest level, often not important I know, but if you have all the other managerial traits it doesn't hurt. I see Charlie has already talked about looking forward to learning from him. Plus he doesn't appear to be Bertie Big Bollox about it, ie getting frustrated with having to manage 'lesser' players than he was who aren't capable of doing what he could.

- gets thoroughly involved on the pitch at training, implementing plans and systems. Not so much of The Tombola here I'm guessing. The anti-Redknapp as it were.

- comes from a club that has excellent training facilities so will have a great understanding of some of the key developments we need to look at in that area as, hopefully, Warren Farm, or wherever, actually becomes a reality.

- is clearly THE outstanding young, already successful attainable managerial candidate in the country and was still happy to come to our (ever lessening I hope) basket case of a club.

- was good enough for Lee Hoos (who is potentially our saviour at Board Room level if Clive's exceptionally encouraging report from the Fan's Meeting is anything to go by).

BUT you, Mr Mole, think we have only appointed him because of a "PC stunt".

F*ck-Ing-Hell. I've seen some moronic nonsense posted on here but that has to be a serious contender.

Those traits I've listed not good enough for you. Wow!

What is missing from that check list? What box doesn't he tick? It would appear that the most important one for you is "Being White".

But I guess 'As a black supporter,' you must know what you're talking about.

I notice you said recently that if either JFH or Chris Powell were appointed you'd hand your season ticket in. So this is a win win for me. I trust you're a man of your word, do the honourable thing.

When has he ever said that? All he has said is that black managers deserve an interview at least.

Funny how now a black guy gets the job it's all down to Les but in the build up to the new man being announced it was apparently all about Lee hoos
