It’s only happened 5 times in premier league football, and they are the first team to score 2 without a shot on target.Luckily there wasn’t any football before 1992 or it might have been more than 5.

Remember LIverpool winning 3-1 at Loftus Road early 1993/94 with two shots on target - the other came off the post and went in off Roberts. Wilkins scored from 30 yards. Annoying.

Nothing against Fulham really, and Konk is a top fella, but I hope they come back. I am sick to the back teeth of traipsing up north every other bloody week this season. Just the short hop to Wigan next.

Pompey, Luton and Charlton to potentially look forward to.

Palace are bad enough to join Fulham on the way down but that’s more hope than expectation.

Danny, you cow. You try explaining to a heart-broken 4 year old that his team have scored 3 goals, but lost 2-1. I couldn't bring myself to tell him that Burnley had no shots on target - I think there could have been tears. Still, if you think that's funny...shame on you.

This has been so weird - that 23 game unbeaten run, the Brentfordesque football, winning at Wembley, serious money spent in the summer and then in no time at all, it's all turned to sh it. Presuming we go down, I'm not sure anyone's going to feel too excited about going-up again and repeating this cycle.

I hear you Konk. I fell out of love with football after our seco d season in the Prem... arrogant players, the realisation that it's all for the big teams and it all seems so pointless...

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

We've been there Konk. Many of us wary about even being in the top six as a result. Not only that but we had everyone hating us too because of FFP, and we had Harry Redknapp as manager too.

The point is, as soon as you get through the summer rocking in a corner, once you have the first match back in the Championship it's a bit of a relief not having to put up with a 4-0 tonking from Spurs or Man U etc. Even Preston at home starts to sound attractive. You actually start winning a few matches.

As long as you're not in financial trouble, which will should be okay as you've got bigger parachute payments than we had, there's no reason why next season should be a whole lot better. As long as you don't go down the, we're too good for this league road of Villa and Forest, it's not too bad at all.

I loved the Championship - even when we were struggling. I really like that it's a genuine competition and at the start of the season, most teams think they could be in with a shout of promotion/play-offs. So, I'm not fussed about relegation in that respect, it's just the whole goal is promotion, you look forward to it, get stressed about it when you drop points in November etc and after all that slog, and a magic day getting promoted, it's back to the wan ky world of the Premier League. I have so little interest in the Premier League that I genuinely wouldn't be able to pick out more than 60% of even the top clubs players in an identity parade. I could probably name you four players tops for half the clubs.

Our cheapest match day tickets are £45 this season - it was £55 minimum to watch Fulham v West Ham ffs! So, throw in ridiculous money spun ked on average/poor players, an owner's son managing recruitment, getting shot of a manager who made us proud again, the fact that some players who were excellent for us in the Championship haven't been able to make the step-up etc and it all just seems a bit pointless (literally for much of the season!).

Yes, a lot of us felt like that mate.
It does seem an extraordinary reversal but plenty of time left and there are a lot of teams involved in that relegation battle.

In relation to noting much - I was on the line on Saturday for your U18s - drew 1-1 with Barnet.

totally agree Konk.
I really wish the Euro Super League would happen. I think it would make all domestic competition far more interesting.

Bare bones.

This is all the more reason I want us to have a cup run. Of course, play-offs promotion should be the ultimate goal for any Football League club, but once you get to the "promised land" (copyright Sky Sports) it's just not all that is it?

I'd genuinely much rather a good FA Cup run this season than sneaking in to 6th place...

Fulham have totally bolloxed it up it a very similar manner to us.

They should have shown more faith with the players then had (minus Denis Odoi, who is a joke).

And they should also have stuck with Jokanavic because Ranieri was one season wonder fluke at Leicester. Jokanvvic could have gone down and then taken them back up again. I also think they'd have more points by now.

The premier league is a joke, a complete caricature of what it should be like, Leicester winning it I suspect is a once in a lifetime event that won’t happen to any similar sized team anytime soon.
Of course you want to see your team compete and do well but for me watching your team hoping to finish 17th is an absolute joke when during my lifetime I’ve seen us compete for the title. I fear it’s only going to get worse and that a PL2 is only a few years away.

I worry the same thing happens again with the next tier of clubs unless something happens fundamentally to make a more level playing field.

Sess is only 18 and playing in a pis s poor team. Last season he had a quality LB behind him and a midfield with three good creative players in it. He is superb at ghosting into goal-scoring positions - last year they were all going in, this year his confidence is down and his finishing has gone awry. He's also been played at LB a lot, when he's better playing further forward.

As for Cairney, he was excellent playing alongside McDonald and Johansen, because it was a perfectly balanced midfield and he wasn't required to do much defence work. This season he's been injured for much of the time, played out of position out wide and the balance of the midfield is fu cked anyway, but also playing in front of a weak defence. He seems to have completely lost his confidence - last year he'd always have a shot from the edge of the box, this season he's always looking to pass rather than shoot in similar positions.

I would still expect Sessegnon to sign for a big club one day, but Cairney's value definitely won't have gone up after this season. Still think he could do a good job at that level in a properly balanced side.

Personally I'd rather not get promoted. I'd love it if QPR won the title and then said "No thanks, we'd rather stay where we are" (and then did the same thing the following year.) No chance of it happening of course. I mentioned this to a good friend who's a Fulham supporter just before last year's playoffs. He agreed with me, but also said "But you can't ever admit such a thing in public." The Premier League owns football in England, and not wanting to be there is tantamount to blasphemy. It's a crying shame.

Hopefully we'll get a points deduction from somewhere if we accidentally stumble into the playoffs.
