Plastic notes seem to spring out my pocket or wallet. I seem to have lost a few along the way without knowing.

Never knowingly right.

Worth
About £160 today. from 76
But only £137 from 77 - today
A hell of a drop back then.

Inflation was about 15%

Thread of the century.

I do love a plastic note compared to the vulnerable paper equivalent though.

They have little indentations on the left hand side to help the blind peps I think. Queens head side. Still not great though I agree. Not sure if they'll flatten out over time.

enfield seems to have plenty - maybe he's been following you around???

Seeing as most things cost 99p or £9.99 etc, then I reckon it would make sense to make coins / notes in these denominations.

"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.

I jar most 1p 2p and 5p's a pain to keep in a pocket and mess around with.

Always lots of 20p's but don't get many 50p's for some reason.

Always seem to have £20 and £5 not so many £10's and hardly any £50's

£50 notes seem to have disappeared. Good thing too. Smaller pubs and shops don't like them and some places refuse altogether. I guess anything over a tenner goes on the card.

Strong and stable my arse.

Awful things. Don't fold without creasing then impossible to uncrease.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

Self-service tills keep chucking them out if they have creases, frustrating!
