OK, so this is a pretty trivial subject at this time of crisis and upheaval, but I am getting to the point where my crowning glory - or to be more accurate, grizzled French crop - is going to need some serious attention. I've never cut my own hair and am nervous as hell.
What are you lot planning to do? I am considering getting some electric clippers but am such a clumsy oaf that I will probably end up slicing the curtains in half, along with my own ear.

Bro same here, my hair had never be longer...I bought a hair clipper, and tried to find some youtube tutorials, not much useful, and one friend of mine shared an image before and after on Facebook from this website https://cutitonyourown.com , I just did it, not too bad.

I continue to put off the inevitable. The clippers are still in their unopened box 12 days on from me buying them...
The new plan is to just tidy up the sides, oh, and my luxuriant eye brows. However, I think once I start on it, it might get a bit like trying to make all the chair legs level: a bit here, a big there, and on and on if goes until there's hardly anything left.

Bought clippers, did a 2 at sides, then thought f... it. Did a 6 at top and blended it at sides, wife helped with the back.
Well I am 51 now, balding at top, so hardly a big deal and it saves me £15 every few weeks at the Turks in the high street.

2 mm is a grade 2, I have a 0.5 which is the blade without a plastic thingy on it. |  |

My missus had a bit of a mare at the weekend thankfully solved now. She decided to colour her own hair aided by our 17 year old daughter. Blond was the colour on the box.
Jeeezus!!. Turned her practically albino with orange stripes. She looked like a James bond villain or something. Never seen anything like it!. Of course I had to make out it wasn't too bad. Lots of tears poor thing. I told her i have some Creosote from the shed we could use.
She managed to dye her back to some sort of normal colour again. Thank goodness. Actually looks quite good now. Mine on the otherhand is starting to look like Lou Ferringos Hulk from the 80s. |  |
