RIP. Steady player for England. Will always remember him scandalously getting sent off in Argentina in 1977 after getting punched in the mouth by Bertoni and losing a couple of teeth into the bargain.

Really liked Trevor Cherry.

To be honest I only saw him play a few times but I liked his Panini Football Sticker and I wanted him to be good. It's obvious looking back at old clips that he was better than good.

I’ve always loved Cherries, so I liked him. On his part in the Jim Montgomery save, Trevor is flat on his front from his diving header when the ball bounces back from the bar, and he misses with a swing of his heel. What a goal that would have been.
