Do we really have to? Cardiff match thread... 07:46 - Oct 31 with 42808 viewsdavman

As enthused about this one as can be.

Wallace might be back, but our best player probably won't be because the club has decided to impose the unwritten clause in a contract, which is we might have triggered a one year option, but our option for that year is not to play you during that extra season unless you commit even further to this clown show.

As always in the middle of such a run, I can't see any sign of recovery and we'll not score with this lot, so it's a case of how many for them (I'm going for 3). The usual bright start followed by an embarrassing first after 20 minutes then the traditional QPR collapse.

20th now. Suddenly 16th looks a pipedream...

Can we go out yet?

Meanwhile.......

The highlights are now on the Website (with the world’s blandest commentator as usual) but after the final whistle watching lickle Ilias taking a running jump in to Dom Ball’s arms looked like one of those videos of a returning soldier being greeted by his little kid he has not seen for a whole year. 😇

I'm not going to keep on about this. But first I would say thanks for all those who have supported me, I really appreciate it. Having said that, I don't and shouldn't expect special treatment for being a woman, and I didn't report PP. It's essentially a male website and I really appreciate the fact that I've been welcomed into it. I try and be very sparing about giving the 'woman's viewpoint' as no one likes to be lectured. But the same rules should apply to me as to you guys. I dish it out, so I should take it. It didn't bother me, I've been called a lot worse. And no one wants a squeaky clean website. I probably goaded him by swearing in the first place, although not at him. But for Clive's sake, it's probably not a great idea to be calling each other names anyway as it leads down a murky path.

PP has his viewpoint and he's obviously entitled to it. I challenge the negativity because I don't think it's ultimately helpful to the club and what we're trying to do.

Very good post NIX. Nice to see a bit of humility and awareness of your own comments and other peoples opinions.

One or two repeat offenders could take note.

Thanks PP. As I say, I like a robust debate in any case. It would be really boring if we all agreed with each other and Clive wouldn't really have much of a website. I will continue to disagree with you, and I hope you will continue to disagree with me when you feel like it.

No worries Nix

I’m sure we will agree to disagree in the future

Have a nice Sunday x

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Essex & DD thanks for the nice words

Antti and everyone else who likes to give it but not take it, I couldn’t really give a toss

Can't see where I've complained about your response to me, Paul, can you?
I can take whatever you want to dish out! Particularly as it rarely extends beyond an expletive. I think I can handle that.

As Disco says, I love to wind you up with some fey 6th form tuck-box common room smartarse humour (I bow to Disco's Wildean level of wit of course, something I could never hope to match) - it's my way of dealing with your relentless negativity. If I can't laugh at it, what else can I do?

I actually agree with you and Hunter to an extent. Barbet has been with us for over a year now and he's still making the same blindingly stupid slide tackles in the box that he was when he first came, maybe with slightly (very slightly) less regularity than he was a year ago. That's his fault, he has to learn. I don't know if Warbs and the coaching staff have been working on that with him or not - if not, they should be; if they are, they need to be doing it better, and if they are doing it well and he's ignoring him, then perhaps it's time he had a rest from the first team.

With Dickie, Warbs has more of an excuse because he hasn't been here as long, but Sinton and Clive on here have both pointed out his propensity to be very handsy. I think we had all clocked that. That should have been looked at before Barnsley, and it should be worked on now, but if that's been in his game for years, it will take time for him to work it out.

Now we come to Wallace - I don't know if people know, but he was captain of Glasgow Rangers - there can be no excuse from him for those two pens, both were clumsy, and stupid challenges. I think Warbs has a right to expect someone of his experience to be doing far better than that, and for those situations, he shouldn't need coaching at this stage of his career. You sign players of his experience precisely because you shouldn't need to have to work on such rudiments.

For Masterson, I stand by what I said, sarcastic as it was. Bigger, better, more experienced players than Masterson have inexplicably stuck a hand in the air for crosses and given away stupid penalties. It happens, and the team was under pressure, not just in the game, but in the season, and Masterson is a young player coming into a high pressure situation. Your comment came after that, and while, yes, coaching takes in every aspect of the game, mental and physical, I think it's a bit extreme to blame Warburton for that one. But at the same time, I share your frustration about the ridiculous number of pens we're giving away and have been giving away for a long time now - even before Warburton came. He does need to work on it. Are they all his fault? No. Should he take responsibility? I think he always does. Should he be sacked? Frankly, while you're entitled to your view, and I know no one other than Warnock will ever make you happy again (and I loved warnock - for once, there, you and I were on the same page when he was sacked), no, he shouldn't and it shouldn't even really be up for debate. The reasons why have been so rehearsed on here for years and years so won't do them now, but it's a silly idea, if a passionate one, not based on sound thought.

As I've said to you before, you have anger management issues on here when we're losing, which yesterday resulted in you abusing nix, who's never been anything but nice on here.

Objection M'lud!

I put it to you i said  'fey 6th form tuck-box common room smartarse',  not  'high-handed 6th form humour', and i would like the record to be amended and stated as such.

I had already decided to switch off for the night if we lost, Ted!

There was posters on here for the last ten minutes of the game acting as if we'd already lost.

That is standard behavior for lots of us who only watch the match thread Brian and most times its true.QPR rarely pull out a last gasp winner anymore and nearly always cough it up during the extra time. You were busy typing (thanks as always)so you could not feel the tension and realization we could let in a stupid equalizer and sure enough there it came.To further add to the angst the penalty was saved but the rebound buired anyway.Thats when posters vented their frustration yet seconds later came your beautiful post "Ball winner "so the happiness followed .Just another Saturday fro QPR fans around the globe agony or testacy

Just logged on to read the match thread this morning and seen paulparkers comments.

I will not and cannot defend him calling a respected female poster , and mother, a t wat but as for telling heinola to fu ck off , I've no problem with it.

If i was PP I would have done it ages ago, only with a lot more éclat.

Sadly AH has had many a high handed stoat dig in some of his postings to PP over the years and imo, PP'S Neolithic man raw knuckle response to yet another fey 6th form tuck box common room smartarse barb, was meted out to sweet perfection. Then again i'm not PP so it's left to each man to justify he's own comments on here.

PP may well have been ott with his Penalty/Warburton comments , no dispute from me there, but the resulting pile on on here not seen since the Red riding police cornered the beast fiend Sutcliffe holding his half brick, has been wild, man.

. As for him faiilng to show 'Respect' (fu ck me!), to fellow R's fans, that one had me choking on me smoked kippers this morning out on my leigh on sea veranda watching the fishing boats... I recall a regular & popular poster on here, aged in his 30's, in a match thread posted months after PP'S work dispute related thread, tell an Old age pensioner poster He was 'f ucking his wife all night long while you were out'. It pased without a single comment. Respect! You're having a bastard bubble.

As for that'Jew' comment on the other thread, i agree that it is a seperate matter entirely but fu ck me with a kumquat , i had to bite down hard on my gumshield not to go full colonel kurtz when i saw it.

PS, Magic win for the supahoopsa!

All fair handed, albeit not sure there was a “pile on” on PP; some of us could see what he was saying and why.

On a separate note, “pile on”. I’d always thought the Southern/London parlance was “bundle” and we left the Northerners to their “pile on” stuff. Or am I mistaken? Is it a class thing. Was always a “bundle” in my younger years.

Intrigued. Expected you to be a “bundle” man, Disco. If someone were to shout “pile on”, it just sounds like they’re shouting at the big metal structures carrying electricity.
