It's a difficult one. The position they are in I'm not sure they could command a high profile Manager. Who'd want the ignominy of being the first Manager ever to take them down? (pleeeeeease let it be Mark Hughes!!)

Rooney has shown he can recognise mustered, he may even be able to taste it but i am not sure he has shown he can cut it yet. Big gamble but then again experience and pedigree hasnt exactly worked for Everton. |  | | |

I'm fairness if the EFL had not dragged their feet (not for the first time) the Wycombe potential lawsuit would never have arisen as Derby would have been relegated before the season started.
All these clubs slugging it out amongst themselves when the real problems can all be traced back to lack of oversight by the EFL. | |

As I understand it Derby did submit their original accounts on time. The problem was that they were fiction. I can't remember timelines for resubmission though but what I do know is that Derby and their fans haven't a leg to stand on. |  |

I would say it is due to their accounting methods, which were against convention and arguably fraudulent.
Mind you, as stated on Price of Football, the senior statutory auditor signing off Sevco's audit report has on his profile on their website that he's a big Derby County fan and the audit firm concerned are corporate sponsors of Derby! Good conflict of interest there. |  | | |
