Thought the same at the time.... there was talk on the thread that they were both pulling at each other..... that if given it would have been soft...... but Dozzell by doing it was giving the ref a decision to make........ the lad was heading nowhere so for me it was a risky thing to do [Post edited 4 Oct 2022 22:11]

No chance. Both players were tugging each other's shirt and Dozzell lets go a nano-second before their player hits the deck. When he realised that he was running out of real estate he fell in the opposite direction to which his shirt was being pulled so clearly a dive. [Post edited 4 Oct 2022 22:13]

They said on SW TV he hurt himself falling or throwing himself to the ground .I can never understand why players throw themselves down on a shirt pull it never works and luckily the ref did not give it.
Funny enough the SW commentary team mentioned QPR should have been given a penalty in the first half for a trip on Chair maybe plus there was a handball shout in the second half too | | | |

The Utd player made a meal of it and "dived" in the wrong direction. Was being pulled left and fell right. So was simulation IMO and the right decision. |  |

They also swerved one earlier on, from the extended highlights. One of our players bundled over (Willock?) just as he was about to shoot. Looked more of a clear one to me and even then commentators said they got away with one. |  | | |
