Pre season starts this weekend, anyone heading anywhere?
I have two options I am considering;
Sporting Club Thamesmead v Sutton Athletic (free admission apparently)
Frenford v Redbridge
A lot of clubs are doing free entry but are playing at training pitches and at random times so double check  |  |

The newly (re) formed Windsor and Eton starting in Thames Valley League Premier Division in August, hopefully exciting times ahead at Stag meadow.
First home game they are hoping for 1000 through the gate, free admission all season will help definitely.
Off to Ascot tomorrow for their 1st pre season game.

Darts are at Phoenix on Friday 29th July which I will walk up to. Phoenix just promoted to Isthmian SE, defeating their neighbours VCD in the relegation playoff. The two grounds are a bit under 300m apart. I'm intending to head to watch Erith & Belvedere at PVR next Friday evening when they take on Punjab. E&B also moved up to the Isthmian SE.
A few of us saw Darts lose to Oxford and really; they were not good at all. Steve King (ex-Darts and Welling) left Gloucester but I doubt he'd head back to Princes Park to push them that one more step. They might find it a bit harder this season given two easy wins against Fleet are also no longer a possibility.
As to tomorrow, I'm off to Birmingham and so no London pre-season games for me. |  | | |

I used to play for Phoenix Sports back in my youth. Truly disgusting kit of Dark Green Shirt, Red Shorts and Socks.
I remember playing and watching at the old E&B ground (now a B&Q I believe). Weird old ground sharing set up they have with Welling Utd - two seating stands one for E&B and the other Welling. The new E&B one is the preferred option for a drink. | | | |

Watched an incredible SF at the end of last season between Ascot Utd and North Greenford. Ascot equalised with the last kick of the game to take it to penalties. Greenford won on penalties to stop Ascot winning the treble.
Ascot have since signed Greenford’s centre-forward who is a brilliant player at that level as they step into step 4 in the southern isthmian league. Greenford have some very tidy players and it will be interesting to see how they perform without their talisman. | | | |

On a non football note,I used to play darts in the Windsor league,one of the teams in the league was Datchet WMC,the team were all travellers and were a bit “boisterous “ so they were kicked out of the WMC and moved to Stag Meadow,had some absolutely brilliant nights,don’t recall much about the darts though,except for one night we beat them to win the league….that was a long,messy night. | | | |
