Thinking of Type B relegations after watching the longer Sky highlights, Jimmy was close to being the villain rather than the hero. I hadn’t noticed at the time that he had taken out Paik for the free kick before the goal.

Another masterpiece Clive - Really enjoyed that apart from being reminded about the Eric Cantona goal scored at 5.03pm. Still gives me nightmares that one.
I won’t lie I was one of those that could not stay in my seat when Birmingham were awarded that late free kick. I run down to the SAR concourse with a few other hardy souls and watched on the TV. God knows why maybe we all thought that would help and God would be kind to us as we were not in our seat to suffer the upcoming torment. Instead we all breathed a huge sigh of relief and I rushed back to my seat. I was walking down the G block stairs when Jimmy brought his left foot back and I think you have referred to these as stairs moments in the past and that is exactly what it was for me. Down the stairs I ran and for one moment I was up on the rail at the front about to jump on top of the roof of the executive boxes. Fortunately I managed to resist as the people in the box below nearly had a seventeen stone ball of blubbering flesh fall on top of them………

His reaction to Dunne's goal is super strange. Hands on his head, as it goes in he still seems kinda mad he didn't pass it to him. Takes ages to join the team celebrations.
At full time he was on the floor for ages, then was greeting all his team mates like he was on the verge of tears till Marti came over and geniunely slapped him (playfully!) across the head.

Talking of "I was there" moments, I feel extremely privileged to be a member of that happy band who have seen in the flesh both Tricky's bicycle kick, Zamoooooorrrrrrrraaaaahhhhh's goal and now this, the Jimmy Dunne Easter miracle.
You capture the moment perfectly, Clive. When Zamora's goal went in at Wembley, I swear I levitated. On Friday, I almost sank to my knees with joy and relief. Incredible moments that do seem to make up for all the absolute shit we've had to endure over the years.
And one other thing: your report has reminded me of that utterly bizarre moment when the ref took the ball from their half in which we were attacking and moved it all the way back practically to our penalty box. Will we ever know WTF that was all about? When the Peaky Blinders went on to score just after that, I almost - almost - capitulated, almost walked out, almost couldn't take the inevitable. But as always, you stay on, don't you, because, well, because something extraordinary just might happen.

I was wondering how tall Jimmy Dunne actually is? He's listed as 6 foot everywhere but he seems to tower over everyone but Begovic, who's listed as 6 foot 6. They were walking off after the game the other day and Jimmy only seems to be an inch or so shorter. He must be 6 foot 4 I would imagine.
I seriously like the way that Marti seems to have found a real player in him and I particularly like the way he gets forward. He has very good game awareness in that final third. Could he end up being our Declan Rice? Given that Marti seems to have found a real footballer in him and his physical presence going forward it could be an option. If we stay up and we keep hold of Jimmy and Reggie we could have that option next season... if we stay up of course. |  |

Was a vision of disbelief from Ilias and am sure football is his salvation at the moment, considering he has the very real prospect of doing time in a Belgian prison.
But I doubt his reaction was because he could not believe like most of us, what we just saw.
A moment on a par with Trevor Sinclairs long range over head kick ie total disbelief !!
